Wichita State about to grab its 2nd Ollie recruit. Might as well give the man a job at this point.

I have a feeling GGG is after a point guard or two before looking at another wing. I don't think we win many games next year if we don't have success in that endeavor.

Should add though that this dude plays AAU with one of our 2018 signees.

There isn't any real indication that we are recruiting this kid, just speculation on Shockernet.

We were in the mix for him before he picked UConn and he's an AAU teammate of one of our 18' signee's so it would make some sense. We did sign a wing already so i'm sure the priority right now is a PG or two.
Random question, but why doesn't WSU have a Rivals team site? Seems like since they joined the AAC they should have one by now.. maybe because you guys don't play football, that's the only reason I could think of..

Heck, some sites still list us as being in the Valley. I suppose rivals will eventually get around to making us a page.

Seems like fans have to start one or someone be interested. Not sure Rivals makes them unless someone is committed to running it, but hopefully someone starts one soon.
Does Tulsa have any '18 hoops commits? They should have a fair amount of scholarships to fill, right?

they have a lot of juco coming in ...they actually don't have many free scholarships
Tulsa has a few jucos coming in, including St Louis transfer, Zeke Moore. We also have a Nebraska transfer, Jeriah Horne, who sat out last season. With Geno Artison ( a little used sub) transferring, we have 2 open scholarships to fill this spring.
UCONN officially loses Ollie's entire 2018 class (Akinjo, Matthews, Kisunas). Akinjo will be missed, but probably for the best to start anew.

Apparently Xavier fans think they can take Marshall from Wichita. Look out shocker fans.
imo uconn needs rhode island to not hire david cox...
i honestly dont think they want to...it was stated 9 days ago URI would lose all its recruits and players would transfer if cox wasn't hired...and they still haven't hired him and reportedly aren't close to hiring anyone

IMO they are stalling, they don't want to hire him..
they obviously know him from his tenure there, part of their historic best run ever..that every player and recruit is behind..he should have been a quick hire...imo they don't want him and are debating if they should despite that

hurley already said he is holding a uconn coaching spot for him if he isn't hired

Interesting how Hurley has basically insinuated that Ollie's recruits are not up to UCONN standards. URI's recruits seem to think Cox is getting hired as they all re-committed to URI within the past few days. I have no idea what's going on over there or what's gonna happen.

they "recommited" but they dont know. harrisons high school coach said that was more a show of support for cox..that he isnt fully committed till the head coach is hired

Same deal with Penny and Tubby's 2018 recruits.

Thanks. He was a longtime Calhoun Assistant and allegedly played a vital role in the Hurley sweepstakes.
