Interesting ... high risk/high reward type hire i feel.

Then again Steve Forbes had some NCAA issues before getting hired by WSU, and he was a homerun hire for us.

Also, I believe his "NCAA Issues" revolved around him not handing over his bank statements to the NCAA .... who really have no business looking at a coaches' bank statements ...

They may not have the right to, but that's where you find out about unofficials paid by coaches. They cost 2k plus per kid and almost all are assistant coach funded
antoine davis has decommitted from houston (our lowest rated recruit) was a shooter..son of tsu head coach

Is this the guy y’all said Sampson said he was “the best shooter he has ever signed”? Y’all just gonna try add another 2018 recruit or just eat the open scholarship for 2019?

even more emphasized, he said he was the best shooter of any recruit he's seen since he joined houston 5 years ago, not just signed...a different assistant said he was the best shooter in the country for this recruiting cycle

despite that he was going to have limited minutes at best next year, if you watched his games youd notice he is a defensive liability in d1. he weighs 150lbs, only 6'0 and not fast

im bummed we lost him but more for future seasons after next season, when he gains atleast 15lbs of muscle...the potential for him to be special is there with body development, he played in the most elite aau team in houston (houston hoops), he was literally the only player on the 12 team roster not a 4star, yet he was second on the team in scoring. 3 inches taller or 20lbs heaviers he'd have been a high 4star

as far as what we are doing?? who knows, we havent been recruiting anyone, no one really left and the core of the players we planned to use for next year are all still there...but we now have 3 free scholarships ...
my guess (with nothing to back it up) is he decommited because of the orlando rumors and keeping his options open incase something happens , and we try and get davis back if kelvin stays and orlando officially hires someone else..

I think McDuffie has always planned on coming back but I’m not sure if he’s made an official announcement. He worked out for the Hawks two days ago.

Keonte Kennedy now announcing his college decision Wednesday according to his Twitter.

This is interesting. Don't think it will get approved but you never know

I’ve seen it happen before. I know former UC player jermaine Lawrence, was able to transfer to Manhattan and play right away for a similar reason

Definitely wouldn't hurt if it was approved. Moves one out of this huge class too

a 4 day delay isnt a big deal, more likely to make an event and/or some unnecessary commitment video ..

indefinite delay= something fishy...specified number of days delay= being extra about the commitment

His second delay but thanks for correcting my opinion for me....: with a generalization. I feel much better now.
Let's see how this plays out.
The folks over at D-1 Docket keep an excellent spreadsheet of known games and dates for the upcoming season. You can find it in the link below.

D-1 Docket

ECU's schedule includes:

Date/Team/2017-18 RPI

11/9 James Madison (273)
11/27 @ UNCW (244)
11/30 App. St. (250)
12/28 NC A&T (241)

Dooley said the schedule was almost complete when he was hired, so i'm assuming these are Lebo/Perry games. So glad they are gone.
WSU officially hires waterman as an assistant coach. He has recruiting ties and knows Marshall's system as a point guard.

Top 75 class prior to this kid.

Dannen just needs to keep our current coaches (BB and FB - Baseball coach needs to go, but I digress) and let them continue to build the program. I think both took huge steps and were competitive this past season. In a year or two, they'll need to win - but at least this time they will have the players to do it.
