Strange recruitment. decommits from gtown to go prep. now commits to ecu after seemingly no recruiting traction in 2018

It is not really that strange. He was just off the radar. The kid is from Maryland, which is where new ECU assistant coach Raphael Chillious is from.

This signing and the Hardy signing are very solid. Dooley was also talking about bringing in a transfer too, so ECU's roster is looking more and more AAC level.

It is definitely strange to have high school offers from gtown and many a10 schools then be off everyones radar after a prep year. if anything he should have even more interest after a prep year. the only offers or visits i can find during his prep year is UT-Martin...

It doesn't seem that strange to me. We just may not be aware of his full offer sheet. Anyway ECU also signed a "7'2"guy named Milan Stakic, from Serbia.

While Cincy desperately needs another PG for 2019 (with Jenifer and Broome graduating) I'd be very surprised if they added a 4th to the roster for this year.

Seems like he'd be a great fit for SMU though.

If he is willing to redshirt, it would be s great fit. And even if he isn’t, he goes from sitting on the bench a lot one season to getting tons of minutes the next all while getting to learn mick’s defensive scheme.

UC won’t care if they miss on him, but no doubt they’d love to have him

he is 6'4.. all becuase he is a point guard doesnt mean he has to play point guard...

he is tall enough to play a 2 or 3 and your 2 is up for grabs and your back up 3 is up for grabs ... he could end up a starter next year, or even 6th man at cincy
Welcome, big fella!

Not sure what we can expect out of him... apparently he is smooth from 18-20 feet out. His back to the basket game has improved. From his YouTube videos, it looks like he can move OK.

Project, in my opinion... but 7'2" is 7'2".

if he can put on some more muscle he can be a real paint presence.

andy katz drops his top 36

35. Cincinnati: The Bearcats will challenge UCF for the American title and possibly Memphis. But Cincinnati did take a hit with the departures of Jacob Evans, Gary Clark and Kyle Washington. Jarron Cumberland will have to take on more of a load offensively. But don’t ever dismiss Mick Cronin’s chances of winning a conference championship.

Not mad at this at all. Any where from 25-40 is within reason for micks team.

Can’t wait for the season to start.

The below article points out the diametrically different ratings out of high school for James (the five star of five stars) and Curry (NR).

There is a surprising number (IMO) of players on GS and Cavs rosters with low ratings.

We could really use a 6’4” point. Point is he missing piece right now. Whitt and McMurray are adequate at best. Obviously McMurray can score. Whitt defends and rebounds well and is fair frm 10-12 feet and in with his turnaround. But neither really sets up others well.

I like our front line and subs and think SMU will be a bit under-rated this pre season.

SMU is probably his best shot at major minutes right away. The rest of the roster is really good. Could be a heck of a get to end what has been a difficult cycle.
Why was he denied acceptance into Northwestern, grades? SMU is not easy, if that's the case.
