Piratemarv found these on our board. First nice thing Rothstein has said about us I think, not that anything has ever been deserved.

Seriously. Wouldn't you want to see how he did with his own players before extending out that long. The biggest key pieces like Davis, Taylor, Fall were already there.

It's a one year extension

As of right now ... the only team that doesn't seem to be moving in the right direction is USF. They aren't moving backwards, but they aren't going anywhere either ... especially after that schedule they put together.

Lots of reason to be positive for basketball in this conference.

I actually like the recruiting class USF just brought in. For where they’re at right now I think it’s solid.

A likable recruiting class doesn't do you any good when you got a Lebo as Head Coach.
Tigers on the prowl in Vegas...

observations
- top to bottom our best nonconference as whole since we started, and we still have a few games to announce...usf is the only major disappointment

-SMU schedule is the only projected good team, that would struggle to get an atlarge with its known schedule. & its rare to announce big games this late (most big match-ups are leaked early for season ticket renewal purposes)..

2 of their 3 projected decent games are against projected p5 bottom feeders..hopefully the remaining games are atleast high rpi games
^You can add Baylor to WSU’s list.
illinois state at home for us as well. #70 t rank
We also play Texas Tech in Miami on 12/1
Not sure UT Arlington will be a quality game for us this year. They won 27 games last season and did well in the NIT, but they return pretty much none of their top players and fired (!?!?) their winningest basketball coach.
I’d add nku to UC’s list as well. They finished top 100 last season in kenpom. Won’t be push overs.

You forgot Nova for Temple.

he just needs to erect a statue of lebo and it will be perfect

The next step for ECU basketball has to be renovating that place. Please.

Floor is fine, seating is fine (it's a multipurpose gym so have to stay with retractable seating in the lower bowl) but it's really outdated. Need new video boards, need a scoreboard/video board hanging in the middle of the arena, SEVERELY need to update the concourse. I wouldn't do too much as a total reno, just some updated, it's a really live atmosphere when it's full so don't want to mess with that too much.

That said, considering we are in the middle of a $60 million expansion of the football facilities and adding a indoor hitting facility for the baseball team, as well as giving Cliff Godwin a raise (so i hear) I would highly doubt anything will be done soon.
Temple's is out. Nova aside, it puts us in position to win every other OOC game.
