Wonderful news. I hope they look like the renderings did. That should really spruce up the exterior (and maybe keep out some birds/bats).

I hope they ordered those spikey things that keep birds out. Would hate to have a crap filled stadium after the first week.

One week to go, hard to believe what has been done in 9 months.

Congrats to S. B.Ballard. I cannot wait to be sitting in my seat for Norfolk State just one week from now. GO MONARCHS!

I've followed construction religiously every day since demo started last November. Watching this process unfold has been a real treat for me. Educational, interesting, amazing. I'm going to be lost once they turn the cameras off !!! Some of the areas, especially press box, have been difficult to follow so I'd really like a chance to tour the entire stadium someday.

So with all the stadium upgrades, please tell me they fixed the south goal post net! It was never tight enough to catch any balls. For me it was kind of embarrassing. Is it just me?

It would have been fun if the cams were live. The Ted Construction Cam that was placed on top of the BAL building was live.

I have lived a few years and have a lot more things to be embarrassed about. So no, it doesn't bother me.

The south end zone net rigging has been redesigned and runs on a cable rigged from the west stands to the east stands which will be faster and easier to deploy as well as extend above the upper level seating of the game day building.

I dont know which thread it was talked about but just saw on Facebook the 2 DJs that do the music for basketball will now due the pre-game and in stadium music for football too.

Can not wait for Saturday. I have only saw the stadium from Hampton Blvd and am excited to get an up close look this week.
It is amazing what S.B. Ballard and team completed in such a compressed timeline.
