I'm reading the words you've typed, but I'm not sure how that addresses The Great Press Box Conundrum of 2019.

I've also heard our handrails will be of a lesser diameter than those of any other football school in Virginia and am unsure how to feel about that. Can we paint them thrice so they are 1/128th larger than Liberty's?

They way they have their party deck tiered increases the amount of sightlines there are (though I would have to imagine that it limits capacity). They also have a sponsored beer bar! Could you imagine if O'Connor's or Smartmouth (or Coelecanth or Benchtop, etc etc) had a permanent presence at Foreman Field? I just wish this concept had a larger presence (it just looks too short/stout for me, idk).

My issue with this is that I feel it will still make us look small-time. Maybe that's just me. If we had a lower bowl and that was built on top of it, it would be one thing, or if the stadium was a horseshoe shape with the open end zone like this, I think it would be fine. But settling with this which will cut a significant amount of seats (even though I guess we could "over-sell" SRO here), I just don't think it would make the stadium look that much better. We won't know what it looks like until it all comes together but if we have a sub 20k stadium after all this just to have a fun fan space, I will be really disappointed. CSU has a large impressive stadium where they can get away with something like this, we won't. And while it may be able to add seats around/over at a later date, this isn't a guarantee and could take years.

Maybe I'm all in for instant gratification but I just don't see how this is beneficial in the short run, and in some ways the long run.

I'm all in on how the rest of the stadium looks and am very satisfied with what we are getting but this is something I just don't agree with
What if we added double-decker corners along with this space while moving the scoreboard overhead? I think that would do a lot to make the stadium feel "complete" and cut down on the amount of seats lost. I would also advocate for it to be horseshoe'd, with the East and West concourses finally connected and have the beer garden built into that.
Boy it seems like they have a lot of work to do in about 3months.

Look what they have done in the last 3 months.

I dont think we will be getting that exact setup. It will be a beer garden on the concourse above the lower bowl. I cant fathom cutting seats.

FWIW, one of the infographics in the pictures says the construction is 75% complete
Looks like they are dismantling the scoreboard over game day building.

I wonder if they are replacing it with the same style as the new ribbons...

I know but that was all big stuff. It is all the small finish stuff that takes time. Just like building a house. Getting it closed in and roughed in goes pretty fast. All the finish work takes the most time.
Looks like they are dismantling east side crane.
I hadn't looked at camera 3 in a while. Noticed they have some concrete poured on the outside of the stadium now. From the renderings I believe that is where the TV production trailers will sit.

Also for the visiting teams equipment trucks
Where will the purchase inscribe bricks be located? On the ground near the Main West Entrance?
Yup, on the ground spelling out ODU at West entrance.
Would ODU move the game to NSU if the stadiuim wasn't ready? Would they move the game to the bye week on the 14th? What if it wasn't ready on that day?

I'd be ok with playing at NSU so ODU can play an actual FBS opponent for the grand opening. It would be fitting since it was ECU who convinced us to go FBS which necessitated this new stadium.

What if the stadium isn't ready by the ECU game? Did ODU plan beyond this point?

The game won't need to be moved. It will be ready.

I’m sure they thought about this but it won’t be needed. .
Also, its almost a month between home games. So there may be things they can postpone until then that don't need to be ready for the first game.
Well the forecast as far as my weather app forecasts is rain and t-storms everyday starting tomorrow. If anything causes this to not be ready it will be a summer deluge or force majeure. Hopefully the weather pattern changes quickly.
