I'm sure it was simply an oversight but the SBC logo isn't on the JMU jersey on this transfer announcement post (instagram) as it was with others. Hate that this oversight happens so close in time to the cxld press conference.

He's a lefty QB. Won states on a Hail Mary this year, and won states Junior year on a TD pass in OT. I'm not sure where he might play at the college level, and his recruiting profile has him listed as an Athlete. He also plays on the basketball team and is a stat filler there. Close to a triple double with a handful of steals to go along with it.

True, and sometimes kids just have that winner in them which helps them excel enough that they'll find somewhere to get him on the field. Julian Edelman comes to mind, a smallish QB with some talent and a TON of drive, took a year at JUCO and then going to his only D1 offer, then had to re-invent himself in order to have a great professional career. Surprised he couldn't get a scholarship somewhere, or else just thought this would be his best route long term.

If I’m following things correctly from Twitter, the kid had an offer and committed to Richmond, de-commits and then recommits to us as a PWO, wow stinks for the Ticks.
Apparently he won awards as a punt return guy on top of DB and QB. Perhaps he could fit the Mickey/Withers philosophy of QB to DB since we had a lot of those guys in 2016. As you all said, heck of an athlete and is hopefully a huge hit for us. Would’ve been pleased to have him as a scholly guy.
