I have been promoting this young man, Blake Wallace, WR/Safety (6'2", 180) with JMU football (prior staff and new staff) that I coached in track & field as a sophomore this past spring at Spanish River HS, Boca Raton, FL (11.46 100m and 23.58 200m). He just got offered by Pitt and also has offers from FAU, Eastern KY, Toledo, Akron and Umass. He is a great athlete and will only get faster.

We should be in the top 4 or higher based on his list of offers.

It's nice to be able to say that. 04-cheers

He'd be a great fit at JMU and hope we get him. If not, SDSU's offense will be lights out, he'll be able to put up huge numbers in their system and parlay that into a P5. I wouldn't even consider Nevada or UTEP if I were him.
Did we get a PWO Commit? Jackson Hamill 6'1" 195 lbs. Safety from Stafford, VA.

We might have more offers out than Army, Navy and Syracuse at this point.

Hofer's been keeping track with a Google Sheet, which is rather nice given the surge of offers we've been seeing (note the tabs for 2024 through 2027):

Way easier to keep in touch with what's happening out there.
Don't let Cig see that link!!

That's some good work..thanks Hofer!
Lots of offers being posted, so it’s that time of year for AGTG for the 973rd offer from the university of James Madison etc…03-shhhh
Another PWO? Cole Purdy 6’3” 250 DE Winchester, VA

LOL
This kid is headed in for a visit this weekend. 04-rock

Jake Hohenshelt is coming in this weekend. Got offered by Chesney at HC in Oct, committed in Nov, signed in Dec, and then got a release from his NIL a couple days ago.

247 shows him with a few FCS offers and ODU being the only FBS prior to his HC signing (link).

I know his coach well, good kid, and a big framed one with room to fill out.

Not a fan of the kids who are 'counting' offers. Makes it feel more like a transaction for them and not caring about who is making the offer.

I don't have a problem with it. These are 17 years old kids. How excited would it have been to get this much attention from colleges as a high school kid?!?!

I dunno this generation does the same thing with applying to 15-20 colleges which they have no intention to attend just to count how many acceptance letters they get.

He’s just proud JMU gave him the same offer20 times, eventually he’ll cave in to one of their offers…03-drunk

Come on, who cares, just let them have fun. The whole process is a sh!t show now and many HS kids are getting screwed by staffs that love the portal, at least let them enjoy some aspect of it.

I just think it is dumb pokemonization of it all, where they just want to 'collect' as many offers/acceptance letters as possible like it is some badge of honor no matter the quality or actual interest.

I'm much more interested in the kid who says "I'm grateful (or blessed) to receive an offer from JMU (or even UJM)" than the one that says, "I just got my 13th offer from JMU!"
