Matt Sluka!!!!
So when they’re minors, the parents are taking a cut?

It already has, a few years ago, in fact. Quinn Ewers, Texas QB, refused to play his senior year in high school (Southlake Carroll, near Ft. Worth) because he didn't want to get hurt and ruin his career and because he was already a millionaire, having accepted NIL money already. If I recall correctly, he had accepted over two million dollars in NIL money before his senior year in high school.
Hmmm, FCS AllAmerican in the portal with offers from Michigan State and other P5s…will JMU be in the future?

#3 ranked DL showing interest, 4 star guy

his JMU offer was from May, so don't think that holds much weight now.

Perfect time to re-recruit him and have Bob and the new D Coordinator meet him.
Not saying I condone it, but there are HS class of '24 recruits that both JMU and HC offered, including a QB that committed to Georgia Southern. Some have committed to P4s but might be worth Coach Chesney pursuing.
Cig moving to IU, and Ches moving to JMU are really apples and oranges as far as bringing recruits and even players with them.

If JMU played IU at the end of the season JMU would of been a 5.5 points favorite. In other words talent and recruits would of been similar.

If JMU played Holy Cross at the end of the season JMU would of been favored by 24 points. Our current recruits and talent are full superior to Holy Cross. There might be a player or two, but Ches needs to be reaching out to far superior recruits than he was at HC.

To be where we want to be, HC caliber recruits will not get us there. His teams need to be 3 touchdowns better at JMU.
Wouldn't it be rich if some of these made their way on JMU's roster and had a meaningful impact?

He's gonna regret that one...portal next year

would be surprise if he is the only one
Isn't he the guy that was originally going to Temple or somewhere else. It seemed as if he was a guy who was always looking for something different/better. Not sure that it starts a trend.

Interesting also that he was offered by HC as well.

He was always a guy that thought he was better than JMU IMO.
Mendoza to IU.
Right now all the IU fans are pumped Cignetti is flipping JMU recruits to the Big10 but if they continue to lose, they are quickly going to say "why is he bringing in G5 talent to the p5"

He better hope they pan out

They are heading to the dog of arguably the most powerful conference in the country. I don't care what conference it is or what level, no one wants to play for the perennial basement dweller.

Indiana is not an upgrade from the top of G5. They are the punching bag of a P5 conference and it is going to take more money than Indiana has and more time than they are going to be willing to give Cignetti for there to be any significant change in that dynamic. They will NEVER catch up with the Big Ten elite, which is doubling next year.
I am fine with losing a few of these guys to IU, its the nature of the business and none of our fans should be out criticizing them on social media for it. You have to assume those kids were committed to the coaches instead of the university. The guys that stay committed to us will prove that they were interested in the university and culture more broadly, and should be appreciated by our fans for their commitment.
Not sure CIG has a ton of choice with timing and needs to fill his class. I don't follow it that closely but guessing he is targeting the guys he thinks he can flip.

How many of our HS were offered by IU since he took the job?
