Morgan's aversion to necessary violence is alarming to say the least. Allowing a group of wolves to leave with a sidearm is a huge mistake. They now know the layout of the compound. It was awesome to see Carol being Carol again. She is one of my favorite characters. Plus, was this the first episode without Rick at all?

He was only in 14 last season. Only 11 in season 4. 15 in season 3.

You may be right. I think there were a few governor episodes that shied away from Rick and the prison.
Rick's first episode out was in 303 (when Andrea and Woodbury met)

That was his only missing episode that season, he missed 5 in season 4 (Governor centered episodes and when they were split up being the likely ones) , and 2 last season.

It is far more common than I realized.

What I don't get is that he has already seen what letting threats live will do. He let the 2 wolves he met last season live and they were both involved in the attack on Alexandria yet he let the 1 live again. That guy should have been dead the moment he realized it was the same guy.

I think she let the wolves in. She said something cryptic to that point when her and Carl were sitting in the house protecting the baby.

On the talking dead she said that 'if' we see her again we'll be surprised.

In the house with Carl she was saying that the place was too big to protect "and that's how we were able to..." before she got cut off

I don't think she let the wolves in. They came over the walls and then they opened the gate. Agree with the other person saying she was referencing how they get out of Alexandria with the blind spots.
but I was saying in an earlier post that I was thinking the same thing but when I thought about it some more it was more likely that she was just going to say that's how we were able to get out into the woods so easily

I thought morgan was going to get shot by that stupid girl in the armory. Whoever opens that door later on in the afternoon is toast.

I thought Morgan was going to get shot too but hopefully she realizes the threat is over and doesn't shoot.
I honestly think that he or someone else is getting shot with that gun that they took off the ground before they ran off. Would also not be surprised if someone ends up getting shot by the idiot in the armory. I was a little bothered by Morgan taking his sweet ass time tying up the wolf guy while other innocent folks were being slaughtered. It was especially funny that he wasted all that time and Carol just walked up and blasted that dude in the head.

I think the lady in the armory is too inept to shoot anybody. Everyone should be carrying guns in Alexandria. That legion of walkers in on its way and its gonna get ugly.

Maybe they are able to corral them again after the horn stops...

The previews for next week did show them herding them down the road again so my guess is they are able to round up a significant number again.
The first two episodes were pure awesome! I am hopeful we are in for a very interesting season. The last thing Alexandria needs is to have to fend off walkers and wolves.
I don't know if you guys watch talking dead or not, but Kevin Smith was on last night and described the episode as receiving oral sex and finishing and the person keeps going. I literally laughed out loud. It was just one mind blowing scene after another once the placid everyday life montage was over in the first five minutes. Great episode.
The best part is that the real threat isn't even here yet.

"Sometimes you're safer when there's No Way Out"
I don't think Rick's group has enough time to properly train these Alexandria yahoos for whats about to go down. BTW do you think the gig is up on Carol? Do you think the folks in Alexandria have figured out the whole housewife routine is a cover?
That episode was intense last night. It's a strong start to the season.
Carl hesitated? Really?

I don't think he was gonna hesitate but seeing the kid whose father his dad just shot made him think for a second. It was well played for depth of character. Like "every time this guy sees someone in my family they're killing someone else." In the end he took care of business.

If their group was all Rambo without conscience, the show wouldn't have nearly the draw.
Love this thread and have been reading since the beginning (when my school was in this conference). Given the WD knowledge in this group, this is probably a given that everyone knows this, but had friends asking me and not everyone reading is neccesarily that WD advanced. But the question was, why does and older Enid keep writing JSS? Her note to Carl was Just Survive Somehow.
