Much in the same way that Biden declined considerably from 20012 to now, I'd worry about the same with Trump. He would be 78 on election day, and isn't a picture of health at the moment...I'd see Don Jr. running before Sr. honestly...and that would be a shitshow.

Republicans need to look at their populations of opportunity (increase in URM votes and the step back with suburban voters/women) and find candidates who can appeal to them while not revving up the Dems and their hurt feelings.

Right now I think it's Ted Cruz's nomination to lose, no matter the outcome of this election.

Ehhh, I don't know...I'm thinking more along the lines of a Desantis or Nikki Haley. Cruz could be good, but I think his time was 2016 and he didn't take advantage.

Biden won't be President for more than 15 minutes. They are going to 25th Amendment him out right after the inauguration. If the Dems successfully steal this, our Republic is lost.

The concern with Biden, besides being senile and not able to speak a coherent sentence, is that he doesn't care about getting reelected like Obama was. Both he a Kamala will be total left globalist stooges.

No idea. Just saw this one.

Why would you spread it from a random twitter account...

And then the name of the twitter account seems to be a joke account

Why don't you try thinking for yourself and not supervise me?

Last time I checked, it's a message board, not a court of law.

I just asked a simple question.

Anyone can post anything on twitter so why give it life if you have no idea if it is true.

And I gave you a simple answer. You do you. I'll do me.

Welcome to why people argue for a Popular Vote...those votes don't matter now, and they shouldn't have to move for them to matter.

But they do, because we are a Federal Republic of States and not a Unitarian system like most of the European "democracies". The easier way to accomplish this is to do what New Hampshire and Nebraska do and assign their EC votes by congressional district and give the 2 senate EC votes to the total vote winner. But that weakens the power of big state governments so instead the plan is to game the system with the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. If that ever happens I expect it will bite them in the ass after the first Republican wins the popular vote and Cali and NY voters wonder why these guys lost their states but got their EC votes.

Only Dem pickups are 2 redrawn NC districts. Republicans have picked up 2 in FL, 1 in IA, 1 in OK, 1 in NM, 1 in SC, 1 in MN.

At this point Senate seems safe. RCP still has it 47-45-2. Uncalled:
Alaska 50% Sullivan R 63.1 Gross D 31.8
Georgia 100% Perdue R 50.8 Carpetbagger Osoff 46.9
North Carolina 100% Tillis R 48.7 Cunningham D 46.9
Maine 92% Collins R 50.9 Gideon D 42.5
Michigan 90% James R 49.2 Peters D 49.0

Georgia Special is a runoff Warnoff D 31.9 Loeffler R 26.5 Collins R 20.4.

Funny. Fox’s desk that calls races announced the Democrats would be between +5-10 in the House at about 8:30 last night.

Ridiculous call at that time.

There's another pickup for the republican house that will come out of Iowa. That was 3-1 dems, and it will be 3-1 republican. The 4th seat retained by the dems will be won by 6000 votes out of 500,000 cast.

Good question. Where is there a middle ground with the tax and regulatory proposals that democrats ran on?

You raise the taxes on the "wealthy" and corporations, as proposed by democrats, and the USA immediately becomes economically non-competitive for investment in productive activity. People will still pay inflated prices to buy condos in Miami Beach or Malibu, just to hide money, but nobody will want to make anything here. People say democrats aren't socialists because socialism means government ownership of the means of production. But the democrats' tax and regulatory policies will mean nobody but the government will have any interest in owning means of production. It will all move offshore. Just like it has been doing for the last 30-40-50 years.

We won't starve like Venezuela, because we have too much domestic agricultural production that really can't go anywhere else. Unless the GND kicks in and forces us off fossil fuels when there is no suitable replacement. In that case, all bets are off.

If my math is correct, excluding the 2 GA seats, if these races hold up the Senate stays in republican control. Would cockblock a lot of the crazy legislation, court packing, adding 2 states, draconian gun control, etc.

The more background I did on James, the more I think he's the future of the GOP. He's more sensible on a lot of reform legislation than most GOPers are now (especially towards URMs), understands a reserved and measured approach rather than going out with bravado, and he has the appeal to URM voters while still adhering to evangelical doctrine on Abortion. Kind of checks a lot of boxes...only issue is potentially losing the southern vote in some states, especially with his messaging on Jim Crow and the South from his family's background.

James has a lot of potential. Just needs to win. Might be better off running in another state.
One thing that is not in dispute from last night; most polls and Nate Silver are big steaming piles of dog crap.

I understand the argument for an Electoral College as well, I'm simply saying that that's why people argue against it.

Congressional District would be ******* horrible with how gerrymandered they are. You'd have states voting 50/50 and having a 2:1 advantage in votes to one candidate or the other based on the state.

Would the best case be a proportional electoral vote based on population share? State A goes 55-45 to Candidate A with 18 Electoral Votes so Candidate A gets 10 and Candidate B gets 8, but Candidate B wins State C 63-37 with 10 electoral votes so 6 go to Candidate B and 4 to Candidate A and so on a so forth? There really is no ideal solution while keeping the importance of states/EC in the decision making process.

I'm not quite sure what state he'd have a better chance at winning as a Black man who is also a Republican? Maybe GA? Even then, his whole message was regarding Government overstep in restricting opportunities for people by using the Government's restrictions on his own family in the South via Jim Crow...I would think that would be a tough sell to some of the more traditional GOPers down there.
they have found transposed results for Trump and John James in MI. Of course, it was in the democrats favor.

GA finally starting to get called for Trump.

Looks like they have held the Senate, Trump just has to hang on now and not let them cheat and steal it.

It seems everything I've prayed for lately has not been answered at all. So I don't know if I would jinx Trump if I prayed for his re-election. I'm not kidding everyone of the people that were ill and I was praying for their recovery passed away. I don't think God likes my prayers. I don't think my prayers are worthy of his addressing them. I still love the Lord but I don't think prayers get answered.

I think like the way the NRA gives ratings to politicians I think Eric has an A rating, he needs to do the praying. 03-wink

It's all Shenanigans.

NC at 95% counted has 283k left to be counted and Trump has a 80K lead. Trump won NC and Cooper is holding it up because?

This over the top end of the world talk is a little much. There is middle ground.

47 years and no accomplishments to speak of. Biden isn't the threat, it's Kamala Harris which will be running the show with the help of Pelosi, Bernie, and the squad/

What is this middle ground you speak of?

Ending the Trump tax cuts, thereby raising EVERYBODYS taxes?

Eliminating Fracking and ending the use of fossil fuels by 2025?

Tearing down the border wall and providing amnesty to 15 million illegals?

Single payer healthcare?

PR and DC statehood to all but guarantee single party rule in the senate?

Packing the SC?

A new "assault weapons" ban and pricing citizens out of 2A rights by raising ammo prices?

I'm not saying all that will happen, but that's all in Biden's platform (which he didn't write and probably isn't even aware of)
