If the election is reversed and President Trump wins,

Those same people calling for “unity” are going to burn the country down.

If over 100,000 votes were placed to steal the election the country is already on fire.
But you know what he posted is 100% true

Without a doubt...

Not literally burn it down but definitely figuratively.

Just like they want to pack the court to get revenge for the Supreme Court fiasco.

Filling a vacancy is hardly packing the court numb nuts. Packing the court is breaking the 9 which even FDR couldn't do let alone a feckless criminal posing as President elect for MSNBC. The legitimacy of this election is now going to be in question no matter what and you ask for things to burn, if only figuratively. The silent majority of this nation are slow to anger, but pity the fools who do arouse them because they are far more likely to inflict great damage on the skateboard mafia than anyone else and that goes for the phony half white BLM movement too.

Your average American is slow to anger because he and she prefers order, dislikes violence, and counts potential losses on both sides. But when ultimately threatened they are quite prepared and capable of meting out unbelievable damage upon those who threaten them.

So dream about your fire, but remember it burns both ways, and when unleashed won't stop until it is done.

It's the third part of an old Chinese curse, "May every desire of your heart come true!" It's a curse because desires consume the soul like a flame and will not be extinguished until the fuel is gone.

I read you Johnny come latelys to this board, the lefties who didn't have the balls to show up prior to the bogus election, but now like blow flies that are drawn to the feces of its aftermath, you come to buzz to feel self important about an event you didn't show up to support. That's damned pathetic. I find your bogus claims and idle threats to be laughable and hollow like so much spewed rhetoric lacking the passion that quickens the sentiment of the words.

I doubt any of you even know what true violence is like. And you should be thankful for that. We've had plenty of wars for people to find out, but they've all been over there and not here. In spite of crime and with the exceptions of places like West Chicago and inner L.A. most of America is relatively safe, certainly not perfect, and certainly requiring situational awareness, but relatively safe.

So be careful what you wish for because you shall surely get it.

Edit: Kudos to Redwingtom, JDTulane, DavidSt, and Marc Mensa for being here start to whatever you call this ending. You have my respect for that, lonely as that job was for liberals.

If you count a bunch of Republican Karen's complaining that they weren't allowed to go wherever they want even though they weren't actual poll challengers but rather just people there to watch, then sure.

The things filed so far in Michigan are just hilarious. One observer complained that someone gave her a dirty look.

It's important to remember, that only official poll challengers with proper credentials are allowed to contest anything in any official capacity. If you see someone called a watcher, they have very limited rights other than to basically just look on.
RCP House is now 218 D, 208 R (+8). Actually from 2018 it is +9 at least, but the Republicans may have picked up a seat or two in special elections. Republicans lead in 6 of the remaining 9, 3 in NY, 3 in CA, 1 in IA, 1 in IL, 1 in UT.

Republicans have picked up 11 and lost 3. Losses were 2 redrawn NC districts with no incumbents and 1 GA district where the representative retired. Pickups-2 FL, 2 NY, CA, MN, NM, MI, OK, SC, IA.

Lol...I only read the first sentence of your post...That is all I needed to know.

The democrats want to pack the court...That is the they I was referring to (They does not include me) if you would read the rest of the conversation for context that would help.

And the fiasco I am referring is the change of policy from 4 years ago when it was OK to wait and this year it was not. Both situations concerning court appointees is wrong (packing\selectively waiting)...Any logical person would agree with that. Yet a mod wants to hurl insults...

You see I don't include myself in either one of these factions ...Unlike yourself.

I will be awaiting your apology.

What the GOP did regarding the nomination was no different than what’s happened historically.

If the Senate and potus share the same party, The nomination gets approved. If they don’t match, the nomination confirmation doesn’t happen. Obama finished with a GOP Senate. There’s nothing more to discuss in that regard to SCOTUS.

Anybody that argues with you otherwise, is irrational.

Bingo

So if Trump was president and the Senate was democratic all 4 years and they didn't confirm a single supreme court nominee you would be OK with that.

You see you open a can of worms when you try to put a time frame of when it is OK to not confirm (What time frame is acceptable). You do your job.

Secondly to try to fix it by packing the court is also wrong.

I am hearing a bunch of parrots giving the same argument that the party gave. If that was the argument why didn't they pose that 4 years ago. The argument 4 years ago was let the people decide...Which the Dems cried about and had the nerve to say the same thing this time around (Which I found rather funny).

Yeah, it seems like most of the objections that come from liberals (or the left in general) stem from a basic lack of understanding of the constitution, and how our country works.

Willful ignorance or not, it is still ignorance.

The difference in the GOP and Democrats trying to get a confirmation right now besides court packing prevention is morals. Dems have none.

Dems want to give citizenship to illegals to ensure they stay in power forever, want to take away my right to self defense, my right to speak my opinion freely even if it doesn’t align with them, the right to life of the unborn, my right of religion, etc. Their cancel culture movement should be renamed the “Cancel Common Sense” movement.

That’s why I say Dems deserve to never get an ounce of power in any of the branches of government ever again.

I don't think you're intentionally misrepresenting history here, as media and politicians have gone back and forth on this to a ridiculous degree, but I'm curious as to how you explain Kennedy's 1988 confirmation by a Democratic-majority Senate, the uncontested 1956 appointment of Brennan by Eisenhower when the Democratic-majority Senate was out of session (confirmed in 1957), or the two justices confirmed in 1888 by a Republican-majority Senate while Democrat Grover Cleveland was seeking a second term.

There very easily could be some circumstances that make these different, but other than Reagan already being in a second term, they aren't obvious to me. Now, if the argument is that we haven't faced this situation since American politics have become as partisan as they are now, I can definitely see how times like this could set a new precedent.

EDIT: Also, why does it seem like everyone in this thread has to end their posts with something like, "And if you think otherwise, you're an idiot"?

Lol...I only read the first sentence of your post...That is all I needed to know.

The democrats want to pack the court...That is the they I was referring to if you would read that would help.

And the fiasco I am referring is the change of policy from 4 years ago when it was OK to wait and this year it was not. Both situations concerning court appointees is wrong (packing\selectively waiting)...Any logical person would agree with that

You see I don't include myself in either one of these factions...

Actually, it has been approved a number of times with a senate different than the president. Sometimes it has been approved after a presidential election but before the inauguration of a different president.

If the Senate was Dem while Trump was/is Prez.... he would have to come up with a candidate who the Senate would confirm based on who the Senate would find passable as Dem controlled arm.

It would not be the first time that a Senate and Prez were not of the same party but had to fill a SCJ seat.

If the Senate was Dem controlled this past September, there is not way in hell they would have let Trump nominate anyone - just like 4ish years ago when it was Obama vs./ a Rep Senate. If the Dems had the Senate back then, they would have rammed a body through just like Trump just did.

Anyone who believes otherwise and f-ing fool.

Word..... +2

Don't forget Bobcat or UofM..

Those guys have stuck it out and not come in to take victory laps...

I suspect if something major happens and the decision is reversed, those guys will still be here while the "newbies" disappear
