I dot think we are in a position to worry about being stacked to much a one position. There are so many things that can happen (injuries, grades, transfers, not panning out, etc. etc.), plus a lot of these guys seem interchangeable with different positions, defense, special teams, etc. Also some are power backs, some are speed backs, some can line up as recievers. Just get the talent in here and figure it out later.

Yeah, they are extremely complimentary pieces. Thomas is the hammer and Warren is much more versatile...but the thing is, Doaks is pretty dang good too. Just don't want infighting to start up and effect the locker room, you know?

We need a couple scat backs. Any smaller WR in this class?

Thomas and Taylor each referenced Fickell and Freeman in their commitments Tweets. We killed it in Ohio in this class. I can't wait to see what these coaches do with 2019, with a longer build up in recruiting.

We have to pay Freeman. Seems like half our class wouldnt be here without him. Coaches matter way more than conference affiliation
Interesting to see how recruiting has shifted in Ohio. Under Flubs, it was rare that we got a kid in the Top 50. This year we have 8, including 5 in the Top 20. Ohio State only takes the elite nationally, which leaves room for just a handful of Ohio kids a year. They only took 4. And, Louisville has turned its attention firmly south. No kids from Ohio this year.

Yep...it's looking like Michigan State, Wisconsin, UK, Cincinnati, and Pitt will be fighting it out for Ohio guys...which makes sense based on the connections those staffs have.
Unrelated to Cincinnati recruitment, but still c/o 2018...anyone see this?

4* Jacob Copeland committed to Florida and his mom (wearing Tennessee and Alabama attire for some reason) stormed off on live TV. Moral of the story...wait until the check clears before you pick up a hat...

So what is the story with Brents? He has still not committed and from what I am hearing they are all scrambling for him to find a spot. Louisville may or may not have room? His coach said "good things come to those who wait." It seems to be a recruiting saga. Knowing that we have one spot available, do we have no chance in landing this kid? Not that I am advocating for this, because his recruitment has been crazy and he can't seem to know what he wants.

Update...looks like it will still be Loserville or WVU. C'est la vie.

I saw this and think it is terrible for the kid. He was obviously upset by this...shame on his mother. It is his future and should be his decision. Sad.

Their posters are strongly suggesting that there is no room. Period. It's blue shirt, or nothing, if he wants to join.

I think if he were signing up with us it woulda happened by now. Best of luck to the young man.

Woulda been a welcomed addition, but it's seemingly not in the cards. I think we're done for the cycle....barring a post spring ball transfer.

Is the guy behind him his Dad? Weird how his family all had UT and Bama stuff on behind him. No Florida gear though.

We have McClendon in the class. He's super versatile. He's the type of back you're referring to.

This whole situation is messed up and seems to be changing by the minute. First he was fine with blue shirting at Louisville. Then he was all about the WVU offer if they chose to. Now he has Florida State and a couple other schools looking at him. His school is having their ceremony right now and he's in attendance but isn't announcing anything until 7 tonight*.

*Last I checked, could have changed by now...

Haha...you are right on. It is changing by the minute! Just saw a tweet where his coach said he won't be announcing until tomorrow now. Wow...
This may have been asked, but is this our highest rated class ever?

Watched it live. It was kind off weird with the mom leaving and then the guy from ESPN asking the kid why she left. Plus as it went on the guy behind him keep getting a strong head lock on his girl friend or wife. She was like holding on his arm so she could breath it just was not good. I feel for the kid and hope all works out for him.
I wonder if she knows Lavarr Ball?
Saw the full clip and apparently she came back in and hugged him. Crazy situation all around. Good for her and her son!

His decision at end of day. Parents spend thousands on teams, traveling and personal trainers not to mention taking them to everything for 10+yrs, kid shouldn't signed on tv if him and mom wasn't on same page.
