Wasn't Bentley out of Lakota a UK commit too? Yeah, that class is shaky as hell.

Yes he was.

Much like their football team once they hit conference games every season, it would appear their recruitment strategy is to play dead in crunch time.

Pick em all up, Harris would he huge, in a position of need with potential PT next year.
If we flip Harris, I'm going to blow the twitter account up of the UK fan who rates the players in our neck of the woods....you know he will drop Harris from 3 star to 2 star real quick-like.

I'm expecting a huge dropoff if that happens. Doesn't UK seem.to have this same problem every year where they put together a pretty decent class, and then everybody decommits in Dec-Feb.?
Yep, was thinkin the same thing. Coaching stability, beat Ut, and can't keep their class. Go figure. Maybe they get basketball hangover when fball is over.

He's still uncommitted...and I'm not sure how well connected anyone is to the German recruiting network lol. He had an OV last week at UC and is set to visit UConn this week. If I had to guess, he'll make a decision after that. Hopefully they took him to Hofbrauhaus 03-lmfao

Snow storm heading for Connecticut this evening into tomorrow. Perhaps the impending airport delays will leave a lasting impression on his time visiting lovely and scenic Storrs in December.

They all commit when they're 4-1/5-1 then when they lose all of their SEC games every year and end up .500 the kids realize that it's Kentucky Football and correct their mistake.

LOL
The Fick-man and company are still lighting it up on the recruiting trail. That's just super. I imagine that if/when we rebuild to an AAC powerhouse, it will become even easier to reel in the talent.

Consider: we're about to pull in the best class in the conference for 2 years running, while we're still one of the weakest teams in the league. I imagine that our recruiting can only get better as we become more competitive. If Fickell can develop into a solid game day coach, the rest of the AAC may finally assume their rightful position under our heel.

We actually had the 3rd best class in the conference last year, although it was a great haul considering the short time they had to assemble it.

Didn't UCF and Memphis' classes only eke out over ours after signing day though, due to something weird like transfers or changing player ratings? I suppose I brushed that off at the time.
I would love to see the class ratings republished about the first game each season. Remove those who don't show, fail to qualify, or end up in some gulf state JC (ouch). These are 18 year old kids so you are always going to have some flubs. Then we might get a better feel for how those classes might potentially perform.

It would also be interesting to see some comparisons over a number of years for "signing day" rankings vs. "Enrolled in the fall" rankings for all the league schools.

I remember some wonderful "value" comparisons during the BK years about class rankings vs on field results 4 years later. Haven't see those in a while. (Not sure I really want to look.)

Recall our class received a HUGE bump thanks to the OSU QB transfer that never suited up for us.

Recruiting classes are evaluated by those that sign on signing day. So considering that's the guiding principal I'm willing to excuse the fact that they don't take in to account attrition.

Yes, shame we are not able to capitalize on it right now. Hopefully next year.

We also got a really nice bump for Ben Hutch, who also did not make it to campus. Hope he still does, eventually.

You kidding? Mike Brown would make us pay full-price for suites then double charge us for crappy food.

Mathews just got a crystal ball today to Florida State. Perhaps Willie Taggart agrees on all points.

I just saw that as well. He's a big-time player. Definitely one of the most underrated prospects I've seen this cycle.
