Thanks for the clarifications on the TEs. I was only concerned because I didn't want Whyle getting upset and possibly disrupting that pipeline.

Yea, I doubt Whyle lines up much-if-at-all along the line of scrimmage when he becomes a starter. He's got cornerback match-up nightmare written all over him. Leonard Taylor seems more like a hand in the ground TE if that's where he winds up playing.
Saw Arak McDuffie committed to Marshal which likely answers the qualifier/non qualifier question.

Chauncey Manac committed to The Louisiana -Lafayette Ragin' back on the 28th. Seems like an odd landing spot with offers from Florida and Ole Miss.

Get in where you fit in.

Apparently neither guy would qualify so go somewhere nearish home.

I shouldn't be as excited as I am, for this day. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
So it looks like we will be waiting until tomorrow for some of the players to sign due to their school closings. Most local schools have re-scheduled their NSD ceremonies for tomorrow afternoon. UC is closed until 10am today. We may get a player or two from outside of the area, but with Taylor, Thomas and Oats...we most likely won't get get answers today. Dang Mother Nature ruining my Wednesday!
Dang! I didn't even consider that.

That's disappointing, I was fully prepared to be unproductive at work and hit refresh on this thread a thousand times today. Back to the spreadsheets I guess. 03-weeping

They could still technically sign and send it in to UC today. The ceremony would simply be symbolic later in the week. Now, whether any of them will do that is unknown.

Knowing how most kids are these days, I'm guessing they want the spotlight...and I can't blame them.
Brents getting a cb to WVU? What? This is the type of recruit that we stay away from. It reminds me of the safety from glenville that was five star and ended up at WVU. There were issues and we talked about bringing him on with a track scholly rather than a blue shirt. The kid from Glenville was a total washout.
I'm not saying we should have tried to get this kid from JUCO, but he has to be worth a look if you are in the situation with the OL like we are. I grew up in Youngstown and they really good in the FCS, but there is no way we shouldn't be getting a better look for these kids than YSU. Again, maybe he isn't any good, but he is 6'8" and 310...

To be fair, he has stated that conference/ strength of schedule/ competition is very high on his list of wants. Arguments can be made regarding quality of play in the AAC, however no chance you convince a kid that the opportunity to play FSU/ Miami/ Clemson/ etc in the ACC or UT/ OK/ etc in the Big XII isn't a big deal if that's what he's dead set on.

Perhaps cooler heads in his circle prevail, however I'm not expecting him to land at UC. Esp if WVU gives him a valid offer.

He's one of the best examples of playing out the recruiting string for far too long.

It's reminding me more and more of the recruiting whirlwind of that Middletown DB who decided on Tennessee on the last minute after taking 2 OVs in the same weekend and being committed somewhere else three weeks before. What was his name...Hunter? If memory serves me correctly, he ended up getting arrested for a cycle-by shooting with a BB gun before he even played a snap or something.
Was that DJ Hunter? Anytime WV is involved like this late it’s a huge red flag IMO.

Myjai Sanders signs his LOI.

Congrats! Glad to have him...I think he could be something special.

This is a TT type recruit here. He grew up off the Ivory Coast, and did not play football until his senior year when he came to the US. He could not get into school due to academics and went JUCO. Just learning the position now. Other schools offering him were UAB, Western Illinois and Kent State.

His size notwithstanding, he is no different than what we already have on the roster. He's a pass.
Looks like a solid signing. How many scholarships do we have now? Does anyone know? Does anyone know the rules?
