if you want to attend a sports even that feels somewhat normal go down to a Florence Y'alls game.
We went last night and it was fun. The weather was beautiful. They had people spaced out when seated and masked when they moved about.
Everyone there seemed to pretty much follow the rules.
Fun ballpark, cheap concessions, no parkin $.

Can you sit together? If not, how far gapped are you apart?

Purchase tickets beforehand for your group and you would sit together. Otherwise 6 foot gap (or two rows and/or 6 seats) between groups.

Ladies and gentlemen, we would like to welcome you to the Howard Beale show! Also tonight, we have Sadie the Soothsayer! (applause) and the Ecumenical Liberation Army! (applause) And much more! (applause) All brought to you by ITT, National Oil, and the friendly folks of the Saudi Royal Family!!!!!

(cue music).........
B10 Presidents met yesterday to discuss the season. Rumors are that they'll announce a cancellation later this week.

If they do, the PAC is almost certain to fall into line with their big brother and follow suit. The PAC isn't as academically homogeneous as the B10, but the academic block (Stanford, Cal, UCLA, USC & Washington) controls the politics of the conference. The ACC academic schools will then start to raise the pressure for their following suit, though the balance of power between the UVA's and Dukes of the conference vis-a-vis the Clemsons and Louisvilles is much more balanced, so I predict there'll be something of a behind the scenes civil war in ACC land.

That leaves the SEC and B12, and I predict they'll go through with a season come hell or high water and unless (until?) mass infections (and maybe defections) of players force their hand.
Gotta love Bearcat Banter. Here we've got message board nerds -- with wives so fat that their cellulite stink gives them PTSD -- telling the one smart guy on the board (I'm guessing one the few board members young and slim enough to sustain an erection without consuming 8-10 levitras) that he needs to get a girlfriend.

Listen to me, you furrowed-brow hicks, I know the thought of no UC fall sports terrifies you, since the now-fading mental image of the championship-winning UC dance team is the only way you can possibly reach climax when you're deep into one your walrus wife's fat folds.

But you're just gonna have to deal! The virus is real!

I know you're not supposed to feed the troll, but this post was so horribly unwitty it was just cringy and sad. I just imagine him sitting back in his chair grinning, imagining how great his post is in his own mind, and waiting for the first response (and occasionally editing it and making it more dumb each time). It's like a second grader at recess on the first day of school and using bad words for the first time thinking how cool he is.
I swear that's not my burner account lol

Eh, I had some long posts defending my repeated warnings of covid related things on here, but it felt ironic.

When the season gets cancelled, a lot of people are gonna get the **** end of the stick because of it and that irks me. If you think it's fear mongering to remind everyone of the ramifications, so be it. Not my prerogative.

Chili [pepper] gone bye-bye.

The road to the championship runs through Cincinnati. Cincinnati.
Pat Forde reporting that it's all but over, too. Expecting Big Ten to make move to cancel fall season in the next few days.

So it looks like there won't be a fall 2020 football season. One idea I would like to see is still have the Army v Navy game. Both are required to be on campus. Both are in their own "bubble." Have a one off game. I think it would be cool with huge ratings.
Just finished up my son's baseball season yesterday.

Went 2-14. We just had no pitching. I was excited that my kid's hitting improved that he was the lead off hitter by he end of the year.

Other stats:

Fans all sat together. Zero masks worn. Kids all sat next to each other in the dugout. A couple of kid's grandparents came to every game. No social distancing at all.

NOBODY CAUGHT ANYTHING. NOBODY DIED BECAUSE WE PLAYED BASEBALL.

You probably all caught it and just didn’t know it.
A bunch of players are rallying on twitter under the hashtag #WeWanttoPlay

Mostly led by Justin Fields' and Trevor Lawrence's comments.

My wife and I attended Saturday's game and had a great time. Why the Reds couldn't have a similar format is beyond me. I've been to a handful of freedom games, and I really like it.
