Nats look to have the better team but a lot has to go right for them win this series. Maybe a matchup of the two worst managers in the playoffs, they both suck.

An extra day should help Washington more. It allows Strasburg to start game 4 on normal rest, and Scherzer could come back in game 5. I'm not buying any of Dusty's explanation. He's not as smart as he thinks he is, so while it's a big story in the media, I don't think he's fooling Chicago with his explanation that Strasburg isn't starting an elimination game on normal rest because he's got the sniffles.

If Washington has an advantage over Chicago, it's minimal.

Well they also said Stras threw his pen session yesterday, which would make a start today unlikely.

Joe has his faults, and he made mistakes in the WS, but he also managed one of the youngest teams in baseball to a championship. Oh, and said team had a 108 year championship drought. But yeah, he sucks.

He certainly took a few steps back on my managerial mountain after the WS, but i'd still love him as my manager. Hell i love Tito as well, but he made a huge mistake starting Bauer on 3 days rest the other day

Right on. He's not above criticism, but this 'one of the worst' is nonsense. Of the active managers, who's better? Tito, Bochy? Hard to make a chase that Maddon is definitively better than those two, but there's an argument for him over every other manager in baseball.
Strasburg now expected to start game 4 per Jon Morosi. I'm shocked!

Saw that at lunch, Dusty might be the worst ever at trying to play coy yesterday

Maddon was asked if he was prepared for Stras to start and he replied, "yeah, I had an inkling." Also made fun of the "under the weather" diagnosis.

Baker apparently misspoke about the pen session occurring yesterday. Turns out it was on Monday.

I think the Red Sox seem to disagree.

But hey, hold your personal grudge all you want. Who's your team anyway? Or do you do it like the ACC and root for an entire division?

Well, let's not forget that's not Tito's first time doing that. It can easily be argued that he lost Cleveland that WS title last year because he opted to throw his ace on short rest and he got smashed around by the Cubs in that outing.

But yeah, apparently Maddon is the worst coach in the game and doesn't deserve his job.

Yaaaaaay Mullet.

Yaaaaaay Mullet.

Last year, his hand was almost forced. Salazar wasn't healthy and Carrasco missed the whole season. This year, he had 3 legit options to start game 4, Tomlin, Clevinger and Salazar. All better than Bauer on 3 days IMO.

Yankee fan - some crazy stuff this year but still kicking .
I've never been so happy to be wrong! If Hinch handles his pitching the way he did vs Boston, we have a shot! Go Yanks!

How you feeling Bricks & CG? i'm pulling for you guys but i kinda feel like Washington completely grabbed all the momentum back

I'm hoping they pull it off tonight, but I feel the same. Our bullpen has been the issue all year long. We left a lot of wins on the table that turned into L's in innings 6-8 all year long. You can't expect to win a championship with a bad bullpen. However, no way the bats shouldn't have been there last night, but that's also been a season long issue. Just hope they can get it going tonight. Regardless, I don't see either team beating the Dodgers this year. That team is stacked and back to playing really good baseball again.
Congrats Cubs and Yankees fans. You've made the Final 4. The ALCS and NLCS should both be fascinating series!
