GFY. lol. I was at Games 1 (Yankee Stadium) and 4 (Shea) of that series. Both Yankee wins. Broke my 14-year old heart.
Though I am proud of one particular moment during Game 1 (a truly awesome game, from a baseball fan perspective): I was one of just a few Mets fans scattered around where we were sitting, and was very clearly the loudest. At one point, a "Let's go Yankees!" chant started, and in between chants I yelled "LET'S GO METSSSSSSS!!!!". One large Yankee fan turned, looked at me, and said "You've got brass balls, son."
Damn right.

The story continues, then i sat down quietly. hahahaha. One of my favorite Fenway memories was in 96, standing on my chair and conducting a "let's go Yankees" chant. Needless to say it's good i was quick on my feet because i dodged a good amount of beer, and peanuts. haha

No way man! I was 14! I just chuckled. What, was he gonna kick my ass just for that? And if so, WELL WORTH IT.
(OK maybe not but no I didn't sit down like a b*tch)

This is why baseball is great when you're in the park.
you guys see the changes in the new CBA? World series home field will no longer be decided by ASG, but by best reg season record, and the minimum time on the DL has been changed from 15 to 10 days.

That's the way home field in the WS should be decided. Trying to "legitimize" an ASG in which star players only play 1 or 2 innings each is ridiculous. Just let the fans see their stars have fun and enjoy the AS break.
The DL time is huge. I kinda like that too.

I agree with the ASG change. the DL thing is interesting, because i remember it being 15 days as long as i can remember.

13 years overdue. Hated that rule. Especially since they had it where every team got an All-Star. If the game is going to count for something, don't let undeserving players from terrible teams be in the game. So dumb.
Glad its gone entirely rather than just amended.

Let's not forget who I was rooting for

Yeah. I could understand giving him something like 3-5 mil for a one year deal, but the money they paid for him is ridiculous.

Cashman did a good job with the trades last year. But with FA signings, he's become such a trash collector.
Red Sox acquire Chris Sale for Yoan Moncada and 3 others. Wow.

WOW is correct. If they don't win the AL i'd be shocked. Seriously wish someone would head to the bronx and clean house
Yankees get Chapman back. 5 years, $86M.

That trade was a win /win, we got their best prospect, they got a closer who helped them win a title. And now we get him back. I personally wanted Jansen, but i'm glad they got someone. Too bad there won't be many games for him to close.

As a Cubs fan... you can HAVE Chappy at that price. Holy geeeeez. Again, what is Cashman thinking?! He overpaid on that, you have to admit that. Any fan would love to have Chapman, and I would have loved to keep him a Cub, but that price is waaaaaay over the top.
Did the new CBA make any changes to the luxury tax? I forgot to read the fine print on all of that.
