Negura Bunget
Romanian Black Metal

Just got back from the Austin City Limits festival. I saw a ton of great shows, but Deadmau5 was by far my favorite.

RIHANA feat EMINEM like :D

"The End" maybe my favorite song this year....
Short on lyrics but long on catchiness.....

Sounds like gorgeous secular hymns. My hitchhiker said it reminded him of "that one movie with Rosemary Clooney's kid, was his name?"
Binging out on Metallic and DMX lately.

However, I just got a ticket for a Ludacris concert here at Minges .... for ECUs homecoming.

Hope he rocks some ECU Gear and hangs around long enough to enjoy the game on Saturday but I have no idea what his tour schedule is.

Lush, I caught them live on The Tonight Show last year and then I noticed they had a cd coming out. I like the band. Tom Morello is as solid as ever and the lead Singer Boots Riley has that Lenny Kravtiz action going on. The are RATM + Lenny Kravitz IMO. A pretty good disc to check out. I give the RATM nod for their aggressiveness in some songs along with also being political like they were.

Also, how was that Big Boi cd... Sir Luscious...? I heard a song from it the other day and thought it was not too bad.

That album is the real deal. The guys in the band are pretty cool too. They opened up at a small show I went to and I ended up hanging out with them during the headliner, who at this time I can't remember.
fun. - Aim and Ignite

-Loved "The Format" but thought something was missing. "fun." fills in all the musical gaps I saw in Ruess' previous band.

Goldfrapp - Head First
[Image: Head_first_goldfrapp.jpg]
-I'm not usually into electronica but this one works for me though. I don't like this as much as the "folktronica" Seventh Tree.

Throw Me The Statue - Creaturesque
[Image: throw-me-the-statue-creaturesque-download-54100.png]
-Tried these guys out on a whim. Listened to them while driving and just kinda grooved through the album. I'm sure I'll give it a conscious listen sometime soon.

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin - Pershing
[Image: SSLYBY-Pershing.jpg]
-This is their 2008 album. I liked it (and it got great reviews) and will give their new one a listen soon (which got even better reviews).
Shel - Mad King EP

Group of 4 sisters age 16-21. While their "immaturity" shows in the timbre of their voices, it also lets them do whatever the f they want when it comes to harmonies and still pull it off. I'd love for them to stick around long enough to mature their sound. The lyrics and melodies/harmonies are sometimes cute, and sometimes very "adult", which makes it hard for me to really believe them (so young, and all). I'm conflicted on them, but I think its mostly my personal walls that I have about young performers.

Overall, they're a very talented "fun-folk" band (I just made that genre up). IMO, they still need some polishing, but I guess since I've listened to this EP a few times in a couple days they're polished enough.

They made their own video.

Look her up on Youtube, she's got a couple covers on there that show she can really sing. The Kid Cudi one was the one that made me want to marry her. Her "Bad Romance" and "Nothing Else Matters" covers didn't hurt either.

As good as the previous ones. Nothing too groundbreaking. This one is his longest offering yet at 71 min..
new Kid Rock is pretty good but is like a southern rock tour de force for him. While he is capable of doing this genre justice I prefer his metal/rock/rap stuff more.

Seriously though he has a song up there with Martina Mcbride AND T.I.
