Pearl Jam - Backspacer

"The Fixer" is the best Pearl Jam song since "Corduroy."
I'm having a Darrell Scott kind of day...

speaking of Cardigans, here's a favorite

The Who - Thirty Years of Maximum R&B

mainly, the "Game Day" mix cds I made a month ago...

Lots of Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy, Luda, Metallica, ACDC, Pantera, Juda Preist for football.
Yo Dyno and NIU. Are y'all familiar with a Chicago band by the name of Loyal Divide? Just saw them last night at the Midpoint Music Festival and they blew my mind. I'd compare them to Animal Collective harmoniously computing complex math problems with Trent Reznor as their professor.

Right Now, I am listening to the song named I Want In That Way - Back Street Boyz

Name sounds somewhat familiar, but I don't know them. I guess I should look them up.

Fantastic record. First three songs are good rockers. 5th song is a good slow song, somewhat similar to the solo stuff EV did on that movie soundtrack, but better. 6 & 7 sound like outtakes from Yield. 8 (Supersonic) is a fantastic upbeat number. 9 and 10 are decent and 11 is solid. Best record since Binaural. They sound somewhat at ease and in a groove for this record. I did not like Riot Act. The Avacado record was a nice comeback off that, and this record takes it up a notch from there and all sounds right again with Pearl Jam.
I take that back, track 5, "Just Breath," is far far far better than the solo stuff EV did.

Pearl Jam - Backspacer

Overall, I think that's a great review. I really like the album as well. I might even say it is their best since Yield and a lot of similarities

I think there are a lot of similarities to Yield and Binaural. This album would have been the perfect follow up to those two.
Still not a fan of losing the Groove Lounge. Ah well.

I wish that they would make another record.....

I think Matthew Sweet is too busy making Cover albums with Susanna Hoffs......
Man... nothing really epic for me in a while ...just those game day music cds I made before the college season kicked off.
I'd like to make a record with Susanna Hoffs. I also wish The Thorns would put out a second record.
