Don't know much about Robinson......anyone have opinions on him?

Pretty sure finney and macklin went there although I could be mistaken.
I know that Wood wanted some buzz after the hire to help finish funding the new Practice facility. I don't think Felton would do that.

You are correct Razor.

Montrezl Harrell and Luke Hancock, both on Louisville, also from Hargrave.

More on Keatts...

http://www.gocards.com/sports/m-baskbl/s...11aab.html

Quote:Located in Chatham, Va., Hargrave produced 103 players who signed NCAA Division I men's basketball scholarships during Keatts' 10 seasons as a head coach -- an average of over 10 a year -- and an additional 18 advanced to play at the Division II level. Among the active BIG EAST Conference players who attended Hargrave are Pittsburgh guard Isaiah Epps and DePaul guard/forward Eric Wallace.

Keatts has coached five current NBA players at the prep level including Washington Wizards guard Jordan Crawford and forward Josh Howard, Philadelphia 76ers forward Marreese Speights, Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Sam Young and New Orleans Hornets forward David West.
Yeah, and I'm pretty sure he has very close ties with boo Williams.

My heart might be all in for Enfield, but my brain says Keatts might be the best fit.
This is what Rick Pitino said about Keatts,

"Pitino told the Courier-Journal that what stood out with Keatts is that he had college, high school and AAU connections and was experienced with the recruiting process as the coach for the post-graduate team at Hargrave."

This is everything Wikipedia has on him that wasn't in the article (which reads like he just took stuff from wikipedia).

Quote: Coach Robinson assisted Hall of Fame Coach Roy Williams, coaching UNC-Chapel Hill Men's Basketball Team, to winning the 2005 and 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball National Championships.
As a head coach, Robinson lead his teams to the NCAA tournament three times, once at FSU and twice with Tulsa. In 1997, he was named WAC Mountain Division Coach of the year.
I will not renew my season tickets if Steve Robinson is hired. I am beyond disappointed that his name is even on the list, and that alone makes me question this groups ability to find the right coach. Combine that with the fact that Felton is still on the list and Graves was hired at an inferior program and I am getting very concerned that this process may not end well. Damn I was really optimistic until today. Now not so much.
FGCU is rushing to get donations to try to double Enfield's salary to $300k per year.

I would be very happy with Keatts, Enfield, Reed or Toole.

He was terrible at FSU. He was boring uninspired and accomplished nothing of note. He is the antithesis of everything this program needs right now.

Very uninspiring hire if this is true(unless he could bring 2 bigs from UNC that didn't get much time).
I would rather Corrigan than Felton or Robinson.

Keets should be at the top of the list. Looks like a very promising hire. No to Felton.
Felton has a connection to ODU beside Wood. He works with/for former ODU great Mark West in the Phoenix Suns organization.

Is this the spin Wood will use to try to get people on board when he makes us into WKU east?
Kevin Keatts, only has a couple years as a assistance at L'ville, but at Hargrave he compiled an incredible 262-17 record. Talked to my cousin who was a longtime coach at Hargrave several years before Keatts, had good things to say. Keatts recruiting will be his strong suit, plays an up tempo and is a minority. With local ties, he may be worth a shot.
Painter also played for Keatts. Lots of ties.
Keatts over Felton isn't even remotely a debate.....still don't understand why Felton is even being considered.
Keatts is the exciting pick but he has zero HC experience. I'd still take him over Felton. No to Felton.

I take it Rhoades is no longer in play? I would think he would want to use us as leverage in the very least.
