Whoever it is, hopefully they'll make a late push for 7'3, 300 lb., Tanveer Bhullar. If you watched the early games, you probably saw his 7'5 brother, Sim Bhullar, playing for New Mexico State:

Didn't realize Sim Bhullar switched his commitment from Xavier. He's a good player. I share your hope they would make a play for Tanveer.

Hoping for a coach in the next 2 weeks!
That guy looks like the guy from the Blindside movie
Another no vote for Pelfrey. I already don't like him.

People are really worried about woods connections. Both coaches he has hired to put buts in the seats have been good decisions. Wilder and barefoot. Both young and not on our radar. Wood is a business man and about money. Cut throat as they come. He will hire a coach who can be both a face for the university and will make him money. If he doesn't think his rethreads can do it, he won't hire them.

Broderick same way. Money driven. If you can't make them both money and sell tickets no hire. Some of these guys especially from uf can do that. But only the fly on the wall knows who are the front runners.

Pretty damn sure Wood had nothing to do with Wilder.

Wood did not hire Wilder and I'm pretty sure he had no connection to Barefoot although she has connections to odu.

His other hires, for baseball and field hockey, I believe he has had connections with.

Pretty sure Wilder was hired before Wood came along.

To date, Selig has hired a new field hockey, women's basketball (who just was nearly blown out at home in the WNIT to an announced crowd of 878), baseball, women's lacrosse, promoted the women's crew coach to HC, woman's golf, and men's and women's tennis.

It's too early to really judge his hires, but only time will tell. Regardless, he will of made his mark on our entire athletic program.
" Old Dominion could end up being the major player in Conference USA with Memphis gone. If I'm AD Wood Selig and there isn't a deal to hire Dennis Felton, his former head coach from Western Kentucky, then I'm calling Al Skinner. Skinner, the winningest coach at Boston College, has been on our ESPNU Expert shows twice and is still dialed into the game and has the renewed energy to get back to coaching. He deserves a shot."

Al Skinner would be a quality hire. Boston College made a mistake canning him.
Wouldn't mind Skinner at all. Dude is a hell of a coach, recruits Virginia (Tyrese Rice) and NBA talent (Jared Dudley).

EDIT: Saw him at the PIT last year helping coach one of the teams and you could tell he misses it
Skinner is a name we haven't talked about, but of the former coaches he's one of the better ones available.
Al skinner?? Kill me now god.
Definitely not interested in Skinner.
The short list doesn't have any former coaches on it, so don't worry too much.

Tommy Amaker has done a great job at Harvard, would love to see him at ODU.
I would absolutely love Amaker at odu, he's done a great job rebuilding his career.

I just don't think we could get him.

Glad to hear skinner and Felton aren't on the short list, our school can do much much better.

Do you know this?

Amaker has turned down BCS jobs to stay at Harvard. I don't think he'd coming here.

The other part I find ironic is that had we hired Amaker after his Michigan debacle, he would have been considered a "retread" by many on this board.

You say that like it would be a bad thing!
