Normally I'd say that the rebuild starts now for them, but that depends on a decent hire (which depends on competent decision-making at the very top of the athletic department). Charlotte MBB being down for so long has been and will continue to be a sad story unless changes continue to be made.
#25 in the Athletic's (pay site) mid-major top 25: https://theathletic.com/184404/2017/12/1...arlington/

25. Old Dominion (7-3): It's always fun to see a team with five players averaging double figures scoring and none averaging above 15 points per game like Old Dominion is doing. (Last week: honorable mention)

• This week: The only game this week is a road trip to Fairfield, a 4-5 team out of the MAAC.
Brandon looks much shorter this year. He should have left the hair taller. It added several inches to his frame.03-zzz

"The Monarchs’ average of 73 points per game is 8.5 more than last season and the program’s most since 2003-04. ODU’s field-goal percentage (46.0) is the highest since 1995-96."

Anybody doubting that JJ fulfilled his promise this time?
Good morning read thanks for the post.
Caver's quote about the team finally making shots was funny. I'm sure he was laughing when he answered that question.

THIS YEAR'S 2017-2018 MBB SCHEDULE IS THE WORST I HAVE SEEN, IN 40 YEARS. THE OOC IS FULL OF CUPCAKES. IN CONFERENCE, WE ONLY PLAY UAB, MTU AND LTECH ONCE, THAT ONLY LEAVES WKU AS THE ONLY 2 GAME THREAT. WITH THAT BEING SAID, IT LEAVES THE CURRENT SCHEDULE WITH (MOSTLY LIKELY) A 20 WIN SEASON. AT LARGE IS DEFINITELY OUT AND WE HAVE TO WIN THE TOURNEY TO GO TO THE NCAA. THE AVG FAN WANTS TO SEE EXCITING GAMES, NOT SURE WINS,. I HOPE NEXT YEAR, DR. SELIG AND THE COACHING STAFF WILL COME UP WITH A BETTER SCHEDULE. THE ATTENDANCE FOR BOWLING GREEN WAS 5200 FANS, TO PAY ODAF MONEY, WE NEED A STRONGER SCHEDULE.

No need to yell man, we can hear you just fine.
Hey, nice use of the all caps. Very impressive there.
Also consider using BOLD text. That can also help getting a point across.
Yikes that was painful to read.
Underline points of interests as well.

Anyone know what that one dudes yard looks like?

6 posts in a row in response to 1 post, yet none of the 6 actually contained a rebuttal...Just a ribbing about caps use. And these responses coming from some of the posters who openly detest posts void of content, yet here they are, content-less themselves. Comical at best.

I agree with what you are saying....this is a cupcake schedule and something needs to be done about it. There isn't a lot we can do about CUSA schedule but we can do better with OOC schedule. Drop MEAC teams entirely and schedule teams to boost our strength of schedule. This is a schedule of a 5th year head coach who's head is on the chopping block..
I would sure rather not see the Maryland Eastern Shores. Norfolk State, that's fine by me. All this said, we are currently under 60 RPI.

THANK YOU
Considering an at large bid is almost impossible to achieve, I don't mind scheduling some easier games along the way as tune ups or trying to get the newer players experience. There just needs to be a balance. Usually we get some marquee games in the early season tournaments, which requires an invite.
Cupcakes do nothing to make the kids mentally tough. If anything they give them a false sense of ability. Soon as we run into a decent team we flounder, much like today. I say schedule tough teams. If you can't beat them., you don't deserve to an at-large.
