Nearly half their losses are to PSU.

This made me laugh.

It will be fascinating to see how the B1G playing their conference tourney so early affects its NCAA tourney teams. I wouldn't want so much time off, but it could help if you had injuries.
Saw Jermaine Tate’s son plays for osu. Did UC even try to recruit him?
Rhode Island drops another one, this time @Davidson.
I started to compare Rhode Island to St. Bonnie and I am starting to think they have the wrong team on the bubble.

Rhode Island (34 composite ranking, RPI 15) is a combine 4-5 against the top two groups. With zero of those wins coming on the road but a neutral win over Seton Hall. Best road win for Rhode Island is at 136 Dayton. Saving grade is the number 3 SOS.

St. Bonnie (45 Composite ranking, RPI 24) 7-2 against the top two groups. In those seven wins include road victories over Syracuse and Buffalo as well as neutral court wins over Vermont and Maryland. While they have three bad losses, non are that bad in terms of being a sub 200 loss. 11 game win streak.

Either way, Rhode Island is closer to being one of the last teams in while St. Bonnie in my view as the overall profile of 9 or 10 seed.
Florida could be a hell of a 7-8 seed. Not sure how they lost 11 games this year.

Like Brian Kelly says...you are what your record says you are.
Xavier squeaks another one by 3 at DePaul. They are going to be the most overseeded one seed in the tournament since 2002 (when Kenpom started).
Xavier almost coughs it up against DePaul to claim the outright Big East Championship. 65-62.

Chris Mack looks like Charlie Brown and Lord Voldemort's lovechild.
Xavier 11-0 in games decided by 7 or less. Absolutely silly record in close games. Never seen anything like it.

With the amount of close games they've played with mediocre/bad teams I'd imagine teams near the 8-9 are lining up to get slotted wherever Xavier is.

I want UC to be the 2 seed in Xavier's region so badly.
If #70 in adjusted defense and no NBA draft picks on your roster doesn't scream championship contender I don't know what does. I'd love a piece of those guys outside Cintas.

I know people may not agree with this, but I really do believe there is a skill to winning close games. Teams don't just luck into an 11-0 record like that. More often than not, the teams that close out these kind of games aren't doing anything amazing, they just aren't f*cking it up like the other team is. A lot of players and coaches just get tight and can't function at that stage of the game, and teams like Xavier capitalize on all.of their mistakes.
XU is good at making FTs. If they have the lead down the stretch even a small lead if the other team gets to fouling to get the ball back XU wins because they don't miss FTs allowing the other team to come back.

They also get lots of fouls called for them at Cintas allowing them to still score even when their shots aren't falling.

Go back and find me teams with this kind of record on close games... they are few and far between. I agree there is skill to it but there is plenty of luck as well. The Georgetown game they needed an idiotic gt foul, the Creighton game they needed a terrible foul call. Even if you play perfect down the stretch maybe the other team his a couple great shots.. close games will even out over timer. I agree x has things that make then good in close games but 11-0 is a statistical fluke.
Sparty losing really good for uc's 2 seed hopes. Their resume is very lacking

The Georgetown game is a perfect example. The guy from GT that fouled Blueitt was an idiot, and Ewing (a rookie coach) should have talked to his team about this more. X doesn't make those critical mistakes, they hit free throws, hit open shots, and don't make silly turnovers. Teams with hose traits end up winning about 70-75% of toss up/close games.

I do agree, there is also a luck factor, so 11-0 is a little beyond the norm. With that said, certain teams just find away to always look lucky, I don't know what it is, but you can just feel it. You can just tell they are going to pull through and win.

I don't see us passing MSU. If anything, Michigan may pass us depending how we finish the year.

We may already be ahead of Michigan state with committee. Their resume is really lacking. Remember committee had them at 11 when everyone else had them top 3. We win tomorrow I'm confident we'll be seeded above Michigan state.
