Watching Tulsa beat UConn at Tulsa just seems odd. Crappy attendance, low noise etc- is UConn adrift in a nightmare?

Connecticut (7-7) 88
Tulsa (10-5) 90

Tulsa has won 3 in a row and 8 of 10. UConn. SMDH.

East Carolina (7-7) 67
South Florida (7-9) 65

AAC battle for the basement.

Memphis (9-6) 56
UCF (11-4) 65

I know Memphis is struggling but UCF @ home is a tough out.
East Carolina 1-2 2
Memphis 0-2 2.5
Temple 0-2 2.5
Connecticut 0-2 2.5

South Florida 0-3 3

I agree--the "atmosphere" was a real downer especially after UCONN (and UC) most often faced big crowds of passionate fans in the old Big East.

Some want to blame the AAC for UCONN's decline. I disagree with that entirely; a better coach could have them dominating in this league. With their recent history of national championships they could be grabbing headlines and playing significant opponents in conference once again. Ollie is riding that elevator to the bottom and I have to think we'll see a coaching change there in March.
Calhoun likely isn't coming back. One wonders who they can get.

They need somebody and right now.

On another note...

Some Memphis fans want Penny Hardaway. Apparently he coaches a top ranked high school bball team in Memphis and would bring a mega class in with him.

Im paraphrasing based on what i remember a Memphis fan tellimg me.
Hou getting trucked by WSU. That big #22 can block some shots.

UConn has a strong bball tradition and a Univ committed to bball. They will be alright. Admin just needs to make the right hire and do their due diligence.
Tulsa ... 3-0 ...10-5
Cincinnati ...2-0... 13-2
Wichita State ...2-0 ...12-2
Houston ...2-1 ...12-3
SMU... 2-1... 12-4
Tulane ...2-1... 11-4
UCF ...2-1... 11-4
UCLA-Stanford was a heck of game last night in double OT. Bruins should still be is solid shape if the they take care of Cal coming up.

Its really odd to see UConn, Temple, and Memphis a combined 0-7 in league play. Memphis is going to stay near the bottom of the conference but the other two have a chance to move to the middle of the pack. I still believe the American is a four bid league with Cincinnati, Wichita State, Houston, and SMU all earning bids. UCF is a sleeper if they can go on a run with BJ Taylor, Temple needs to figure out how to get at least 10-8 at this point, while Tulsa and Tulane could challenge for the NIT.
UConn only up 1 at home against ECU.

We're actually to the point where Tulane is a significantly tougher game than UConn. Sad.

Turned this on and it is Bad. They are both playing at the same level and it is not good.
Providence is holding on to 6 pt lead against XU. Under 10 left.

6 pt lead still with around 3 minutes to go.
Egg saver lays egg at Dunk
Xavier is just as capable of a pants-filling deuce like any other NCAA team. The only difference between our teams this year is we had to play the Shootout at Cintas.
Great game by the Friars.
Maintained their composure when XU made little runs and always had an answer.
xavier consistently gives up looks. It you hit shots you can beat them

They've been playing with fire since the UC game. Close games against @Marquette, @ 8-7 Northern Iowa, DePaul, Marshall, and East Tennessee State at home. Finally got burned today.
Florida steals the ball with a few seconds left and wins 77-75 against Mizzou.
