Tulane down big with 7 minutes left in second half at home to USF. Their season just went swirling down the comode

Came into night at #92 in RPI. Watch how far it plummets with this home loss.

SMU's road loss at Tulane just turned into a way worse loss....Houston, too.

Tulane is down 62-39...at home....to USF. They look like they just quit.
USF trying to hold onto a big lead has been entertaining. They are tight as hell.
Its been a riot watching USF do everything in its power to lose this game. They have looked scared to death at the free throw line the last 5 minutes.
I noticed Brian Gregory practically sprinted through the handshake line to get to the bathroom so he could change his sphincter pad...
Poor Tulane goes from #92 to #127 in RPI (and falling) in the blink of an eye.
I'm rooting for UCLA to take down Cal at home. They've lost 3 P12 games in a row...

I would actually prefer to see a joint East-West Challenge with the American, Mountain West and WCC. The WCC and Mountain West doesn't have the depth at the top but if you add in all three you can create some really good games.

Cincinnati-Gonzaga
Wichita State-St. Mary's
Houston-Nevada
SMU-SDSU
UConn-BYU
Temple-Boise State
Memphis-UNLV
UCF-Fresno State
Tulsa-New Mexico
Tulane-San Diego
ECU-Pacific
USF-USF

Take the entire American and the top six from WCC and Mountain West. Play six games out west and six games out east.

Good...bucks need to slide on back down, no need for them to get close to top 10. We'll handle that area. They can enjoy upper teens.

Did you watch the end of the game? It was insane.

Crazy finish. I think that loss really puts a cap on Ohio State's seeding at 4 seed without a win over Purdue or at Michigan, not withstanding a a run in the Big Ten tournament. I can't get over how poor the Big Ten schedule is setup this season. Ohio State only has two column one games left and one column two game left but they all on the road. How high can a team be seeded if they only have one or two column one wins? That could be the question asked about Ohio State and Michigan State this season. Cincinnati will have anywhere from three to five column one chances the rest of the way and probably 9 total column 1 and 2 games remaining.
Soon to get its own topic, I am sure, but the NCAA is investigating the UConn men's basketball program.

Details are few, but something involving recruiting.
Things getting even worse for UCONN. NCAA now investigating them.
UConn's opening to fire Ollie with cause (thus avoiding/giving them to negotiate a buyout).

It’s like UCONN is on a perpetual 5 year sales cycle with the NCAA investigators.

In the Big Ten's defense,no one expected Ohio State to be any good this year.

Yeah - they were picked to finish like 10th in the Big 10. Regardless of feelings about OSU, its a good story (I don't necessarily like OSU being good but, take away their name, and it's a good story). Chris Holtmann was a good hire for them.

It isn't just Ohio State. Michigan State plays Rutgers, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Illinois twice. It what world did the Big Ten think that was the best way showcase a team many had pre-season top five. Maryland and Wisconsin were picked middle of the pack and Illinois and Rutgers were suppose to stink. You would think that TV would demand that Michigan State would have played Purdue and Michigan twice this season. At least the American got it right with the schedule this season. Cincinnati is limited to just four games against Tulsa, Tulane, ECU, and USF. If the Big Ten was scheduling for the American this year UC would only play Wichita State, SMU, UConn, and Houston only once. Make sure to limit a schools best RPI and TV draws?!?

While those would make for some excellent games, I'd prefer Aresco first push for an AAC/Pac 12 Challenge. Instead of the "all teams in" scheduling being done when the ACC plays the B10 (if they still do), take the stronger programs/brands: say UC, WSU, SMU, Houston and UCONN against UCLA, USC, Arizona State, Oregon and Stanford.

There is precedent for a non-P5 participating in these inter-conference clashes as the Big East is involved in one of these deals now with Fox Sports. The Pac 12 is down this season and might welcome media exposure in the rich recruiting areas east of the Rockies. The AAC needs the exposure and brand building too and Aresco should strike while the iron is hot with UC and WSU likely to advance in March.
Right now our only top 50 kenpom win is SMOO. Eeeek.
