RE: California Ballot Collection results
It's too soon to call, but so far with almost fifty percent of the vote, Steve Hilton is leading in the California gubernatorial race with 26.8 percent to Xavier Becerra's 25.8 percent. People like Hilton are why I want an exception to the "you must be born in this country to run for office. He may be originally from England, but I agree with him almost one hundred percent of the time. And I've always thought he was a smart guy.

In the Los Angeles mayoral race, incumbent mayor Karen Bass is leading, but Spencer Pratt is currently second. (All mayoral candidates are technically independents in this race.)

This is just to determine who runs in the runoff, from what I believe.

Me? Probably. I'm a rich white guy. 07-coffee3

Doesn't really aid the "argument" here for you guys.

RE: California Ballot Collection results
Breaking: Election predictors at both Fox News and the Associated Press predict Karen Bass will advance to the next stage in the Los Angeles mayoral race. Former reality television personality Spencer Pratt, who along with his parents lost their respective home in the Pacific Palisades fire in December 2024 and January 2025, has yet to join her. Still, according to some political pundits' predictions at press time, he is expected to.

Editor's note: All candidates per mayoral race rules are to run as independents, regardless of official party affiliation.

Also breaking: With 51% of the precincts reporting, naturalized American citizen Steve Hilton's margin of separation between himself and Democratic candidate and former Biden administration Cabinet member Xavier Bocerra has increase to over one and a have percentage points! It's still too early to call, but Hilton's campaign has said the results are so far promising for the GOP gubernatorial hopeful. President Donald Trump has endorsed the English-born Hilton, who is hopeful he will elected the first Republican candidate of the Golden State since another European-born naturalized American, actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar. "The Govenator" is a noted Trump critic despite being a Republican and even endorsed former vice-president and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in her bid for her party to retain the White House in the 2024 presidential election, but he has since criticized both parties. Hilton also said to supporters in a speech late Tuesday night that the Austrian-born former strongman reached out when Hilton announced his campaign for California's governorship. Both Hilton and Bocerra, the former Health and Human Services secretary under former president Biden, respectively have received 27.2% and 25.6% of all ballots cast at press time. Billionaire Tom Steyer, another registered Democrat, is third, receiving less that 20% of all ballots cast at press time.

If no candidate receives 50.1% of the vote in any respective race, the top two candidates in each one will head to a runoff in November.

In other news, Democratic congresswoman and noted Trump critic Maxine Waters will defeat her opponents by winning her primary with over 62% of all ballots cast in her redrawn district. Voters of the Golden State approved a statewide ballot measure that approved the state's congressional map. Critics say the map favors the Democrats and will therefore be struck down by the Supreme Court of the United States. No matter the outcome, she expected to win reelection in November. She is best known for calling for Trump's impeachment during both his first and current terms.

To expound upon your point....I'm going to assume you're a popular.vote abolish the electoral college guy

By doing so you realize the practical effect of this is the entire nation would be waiting at least a week to see how many late ballots can be collected via mail to put to the Democrat over the top

It would be very very messy and completely destroy whatever faith is left in the electoral system

Spencer Pratt won his way into the general election this November. He may end up ousting that lunatic after all.

You do know that NO state calls elections a second after polls close, right?

The media does this, not the state. And they are just making a prediction based on current vote totals and estimated remaining votes to be counted.

Please tell me you actually comprehend that distinct difference?

No, I'm not an abolish the electoral college guy. I would probably consider some reasonable tweaks to it, however, if proposed.

And again, what ******* difference does it make if you have to wait a week after voting day in November to know who is the official winner? In pretty much every case, the winner doesn't take office until 2 months later in January. And as long as the race isn't that close, we do pretty much know by the next day who each winner will be.

Finally, drop the only democrats cheat complete and utter 04-bs. I can find every bit as much cheating from Republicans as you can find from Democrats. And no, I'm not talking about your half-baked conspiracy theories, but rather actual facts.

You have no problem with one state dragging out the process unnecessarily. That dragged out process always results in a Blue win and the other states are just supposed to take CA's word?

In the words of the most popular (by vote count) president ever .... C'mon man

Again I've never accused the CA Dems of cheating

Theyve set up a system where they can collect ballots for a week after the election in a state where they dominate the voter rolls and there is minimal accountability on those voter rolls or ballot integrity

The systems is screwed up but the CA Dems do win according to the rules they created

RE: California Ballot Collection results
Also, I have no problem with close elections and not know the winner the night of - in NC we had a razor thing margin (734 vote spread) for a statewide election. We also had our NC State Senate President ousted in his district's primary by 23 votes. But you know what I was able do? Read up on exactly how many ballots were left to count, how many ballots were in the provisional ballot status, and how many ballots were being disputed.

None of that happens in CA.

They mail out X number of ballots. And then just wait to see how many come back up until a week after the official date. No accountability, no ballot integrity, no nothing. You have no idea how many legitimate ballots are left and what is actually going to be returned. The system is RYPE for fraud.

And your defense is, "well what does it matter, you don't live there"

The hypocrisy of team blue and their cries of "save democracy" ring hollow to me
