California Ballot Collection results - solohawks - 06-02-2026 12:25 PM

I hesitate to use the word election - saw this from our old friend from 2016 BUT MAH NATE

RE: California Ballot Collection results - Redwingtom - 06-02-2026 01:33 PM

Here's a complete list of the hardships you all will face because California won't have complete and final results of a June primary on election night:

Wrong. I won't be able to get salt threads from the libs when the see Spencer Pratt wins. My entertainment is deferred because California is California.

You do know that tonight likely won't determine who will be the next Mayor, right?

Unless one of the 16 get more than 50%, the final election won't be until November. And there's probably zero chance of that not happening.

RE: California Ballot Collection results - Redwingtom - 06-02-2026 01:43 PM

Also, why would I...or anyone else on this board...give two ***** who the next mayor of Los Angeles is?

C'mon now. Democrats need to know exactly how many votes they need to win so they can "find" them in a car truck or in an "uncounted" bag of "votes". Nothing to see here. This is perfectly normal in a society where even third world nations have enough computing power to count the votes in a day.

I don't live in California. It's not my state. And yes, there state law does need some overhauling. And I believe there are some proposals on the ballot to do so.

California is trying to be modern and have as much mail in voting as possible because their citizens want that. Currently their law doesn't require certification for like 38 days. They also allow mail in ballots mailed by election day to be received up to a week later. So they're automatically a week behind...and then they do extensive signature matching to make sure the vote is accurate...again...takes time. While this may drag official things out upwards of a month, it doesn't really if the election isn't particularly close. If it's not close, the media can usually tell you on election night who's going to win. But again, it's all moot...the winners don't take their new office the next day...or week...or even the next month.

Supposedly. But they can call the election a second after polls close. Doesn't make sense to me but it's how it is. Why do we even count the ballots then. In a sporting event they don't declare the winner till after the game is played.
