dalton makes that this down conversion
I think Burrow has looked pretty good so far. Line not really protecting him too well.
I would give him some roll outs, they are not handling the pass rush well at all.
Another scoring drive allowed to end the first half by the Bengals D. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Burrow hasn't done much other than that sweet TD run, but I don't blame him as the OL looks pretty bad again especially against the pass rush. Speaking of which, I'm often understanding of the coaches' personnel decisions given their expertise and everyday experience, but for the life of me I don't understand how you go into this year planning on Bobby Hart being your starting RT. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

On the other hand, we're up 7-6 at the half so I'll take it so far!
Bobby Hart is so freaking awful. D looks good.
Theres your big Defensive free agent getting carted off the field
Well... UC starts next week
Lol! Fat Randy. Can’t believe we can’t find a kicker

He does but not Daltonstein.
WTF was Burrow thinking with that INT toss LOL. WLM
Joe has been officially Bengalized![/b]
My God. You have to be kidding me.

Burrow and Aj Green looked promising, though. Chargers are a solid defense.

Burrow is going to be a star. He showed more high-level talent today than Dalton did in ten years. Alas, Burrow will just have to protect himself until he can be traded to a team with an OL.

The Bengals offense looked like garbage.
I was kidding about Burrow. Happy with what I saw so far. It's early. Of course the Bengals lose on an OPI where the CB is clamping AJ's arms down and AJ has to fight with his hands to raise them (followed by a shanked chip shot).

Yup. But Burrow and AJ looked real good once they settled in. Something to work on.

Mike Brown sent in that play.
My expectation for the season - 6-7 wins, Burrow shows promise and a grasp of the offense and surprises with some really good plays, team improves as the season goes on, team doesn't quit, we draft a stud O-lineman or two and a really good TE and we are in competition for a playoff spot for the '21 season (Burrow's 2nd year). I want to see good football out of this team but know that we are lacking on offense. Defense can be solid but injuries don't help.

The only time the offense looked good was when the Chargers played soft on the last drive of the game. No idea why NFL coaches often go into that contain defense bull**** when they are winning by less than 1 score.

That was a really bad Charger team, so I am not going to say the Bengals looked decent. Hopefully, another bad season and we can get Taylor fired and start to really make some positive steps.
