Did you ever notice that when the ice melts in your lemonade, your glass overflows?

Me neither.

That's because all of the ice in your glass is submerged under water or very nearly. A good portion of arctic and subarctic ice is currently above water level.

You're assuming all the ice is floating. Above water level also includes water on land like much of the Antarctic ice shelf.
Can someone rename this the global warming thread so I can be sure not to click on it?

Me neither.

Ice Caps do not float in water. They are atop mountains that go beneath the water.

Ice melts in a drink does not overflow because the ice is already a part of the drinks volume.

+1, knock it off.
Let's stay back on topic. Stadium should just be made of ice and call it Glacier Stadium. 03-nutkick
I want to see the hearts of all Hokie fans melt when we kick their @ss on opening day of the new stadium.
Would that make their blood run over?
Did someone win naming rights?
Can we move this thread to the Spin Room?
I'm still secretly wishing they put a lighthouse at the top of the stadium, or at least near it. We can light it up on game day or other special occasions (graduation, etc.). It could be our riverside version of a campus clock tower. Make it accessible year round and let people enjoy the view of the campus and the surrounding area from the top.

But it'd probably cost too much.

Now this is an awesome idea

I would give a few bucks towards this project. That's brilliant.
