They actually have dining in Ainslie during the week for faculty and staff right now.

We'll pull down our CAA and C-USA banners in favor of these? Nice.

Cant believe the neighbors would rather have frat row next to them than the stadium.
I think ODU should hold off building a new stadium.
This team needs better coaches. People will get tired seeing wins over Charlotte and UTSA. We want to see competitive wins.
We can't recruit or schedule without it. If we don't build a new place we need to go back to CAA.

Let me get this right.
You just graduated have a Penn state Avatar and you are saying " We do not need a new stadium"
Your avatar shows you are not a loyal fan. Just a fair weather one!!!
Your other team lost today too.

The one person who follows ODU sports that doesn't want the new stadium built. Longs for the days when soccer was the big fall sport.
Old Dominion’s football staff has been dangling the new stadium to future recruits for several years. The fact is a new stadium is a must have. It will have to come soon for us to be competitive in CUSA. The process has moved slower than all of us would like to see, but it will happen. However, I am not sure what time table the future holds for the Stadium. I know that Dr. Selig and Dr. Broderick clearly know the importance for ODU to move forward and achieve the next step in our athletic ascendance. DR. Broderick has acknowledged and stated many times the need for the new stadium. IMO, funding is an issue and will continue to play a part in the overall timeline and the ultimate dates for our future stadium announcements.

ODU has achieved and made giant steps in the last 5 or 6 years. Old Dominion's athletic administration and our President have confirmed and acknowledged the importance of this monumental undertaking. I believe it is clear to everyone that the stadium will be the next major piece of the puzzle to lead ODU into the future. Good things will happen when the news is finally released and the information that defines how ODU will secure the funding for the construction (bonds, gifts, naming rights doner(s), fund raising plans and any municipal assistance). It will be at that time we will all find out how this will play out.

Old Dominion Hail

Just......stop.

You shouldn't post after games. It doesn't suit you.

FYI- I don't believe Broderick has a PHD. I know he's not an MD. It's simply President Broderick.

Weren't you the one that at one point said we should aim for a 100,000 seat stadium?

I don't know how many times it has to be said on this board, Foreman Field is no longer an option for us, whether we have one down season or not. I think nearly everyone expected that our winning would not continue as we moved up a division. As some CUSA posters have said, we aren't playing Campbell, Duquesne, Virginia Union etc anymore. We are hosting several ACC schools in the upcoming years, and as I said before, if anyone went to the NC State game you knew Foreman wasn't enough. It was overrun by Wolfpack fans, I felt it was extremely congested, and tickets sold out quicker than any game I can remember in our short history. If we get a new stadium that is 30,000 seats and we average 25,000, I could care less about a sell out streak. We would get more butts in seats and thats all that matters to me. No one knows for certain whether that will happen but if we can't get 20,118 at every game at FF then it doesn't even matter. We can't do much with our current stadium, as much as I love it, but its time to move on. At this point its not about IF we're getting a new stadium, its WHEN. Everyone who has the authority at the university to make this happen wants it to happen. Wilder, Dr. Selig, and President Broderick are all on board. I know you're one of the more radical posters on this forum but not everything about this athletic department is life or death.

Yep that was him. Definitely one of the least level headed posters on here. When we win he thinks we can beat anyone but when we lose we shouldn't even be playing FBS. I don't know how you can go from one extreme to the other so fast.

Agreed. The sellout streak is good for game notes and marketing, but most people don't give a whit one way or another, particularly since it's long been established universally that sellout ≠ all seats filled. 30,000 is a nice round number that ensures more fans through the gates while not requiring the program to resort to Groupon deals or fast-food promotions to move tickets.
30k is the way
I'm good with 30K.
