Is Seattle Div 1 or 2?

*actually, he took an unofficial there recently so maybe not that random.
D1 West Coast Conference, I think
According to verbal commits we already have 2 shooting guard commits. Trey Murphy lll and Payton Moore . They are both taller than the listed heights and seem to be growing. Wonder if our interest in Rip who is listed at 6-7 dropped after Moore committed. Definitely need another big and another point guard. We also get the shooting guard transfer from TCU for next season. Seattle plays in the same conference as Utah Valley which beat us last year in the tournament. They are D1.

Don't actually think we necessarily need another point. Parrish will be eligible next year and he plays the point. That'll leave us with 3 points and 4 shooting guards. Wouldn't be surprised to see us target a big and another wing type.

Seattle and Utah Valley are both in the D1 WAC (Western Athletic Conference).
Another 2018 commitment from 6-3 G Chris Mullins. He's from the Dallas area. 3* with offers from mid majors (twitter has him getting an offer from SMU last year too). Regardless of his offers, he's certainly gotten looks from bigger programs. 247 and other sites say that he's gotten interest at some point from Arizona, Kansas, and Baylor. Honestly had no clue we had even offered him. Not too much film out there on him, especially because searching Chris Mullins basketball doesn't exactly bring up the results you want. Looks very long. Finishes through contact and has a decent looking shot.

Our scholarship breakdown for 2018 as it stands now:

PG: 3
SG: 5
SF: 2
PF: 1
C: 1

Should leave us with one open scholarship. In terms of big men who we've offered or are possibly targeting, the incomplete list looks something like this:

6-10 Sean Good (holds high major offers)
6-10 Warren Washington (I believe played with Tim Harrison in AAU, holds high major offers)
6-9 David Nzekwesi (Texas kid born in the Netherlands)
6-9 Austin Rotroff
6-9 Quentin Millora-Brown (Played in HS with Ako)
7-4 Connor Vanover (Visited Rice, but a lot of noise around Memphis now)
6-8 Mason Forbes
I like getting a player from Texas! Maybe going with all shooting guards in the future?

Now, we just need to,get a big guy.
Not related to last night's commitment, 2019 G Quinn Richey is visiting in October. Offers from FIU, Saint Louis, and Mississippi State. Interest from Yale, Princeton, Texas Tech. Ridiculously good shooter.
Pretty much no drop off in recruiting really has me optimistic. Now we just need to keep these guys on campus for 4 years and develop them.

We look like we are continuing the guard heavy trend, I wouldn't be surprised if our bigs are "only" 6'9" or 6'10" and athletic.

That's sorta the way the NBA is going anyway

Yea I have to problem with us following that trend. Now let's start passing and playing defense like the warriors 03-cloud9
We need to find a way to sign Sean Good. Highly skilled big man
2018 Texas G PJ Byrd, who had a Rice offer from the previous staff, committed to VCU. Rhoades clearly really liked him because he offered him at Rice too.
