SEPTEMBER of 2019 was when the issue was discovered. John Brannen was the coach in September of 2019. The procedure happened during John's first year here.

Cronin had tough conditioning just like most coaches do. Again, tough conditioning isn't the issue. It's ignoring medical procedures and staff, going so far as to attempt to avoid the Head Athletic Trainer's presence around the facility. It's a big yikes all the way around.

how does this help your point... so before brannen staff noticed a prince issues caused by heavy conditioning before he even had his 1st practice ..

so brannen staff saved his life.. not cronins,...and the issue was still caused by cronin

How dense are you? That's literally not the point. The point is that a heart monitor it turns out is a great way to monitor athletes health during training.

but the point someone was making was that Cronin listened to his staff.. and saving his life showed cronin adhered to his staff..
in a conversation where im noting the heavy intense conditioning is common everywhere

his note about the date, just showed Cronin had intense workout but had nothing to do with him listening to the medical staff.. it was Brannen's staff. the entire point about Cronin listening to his staff is now gone.. all that remains is that intense running was common under cronin...

and brings into question miller and his ability.. his system requires conditioning .. will he be spied on, will he be allowed to push his players to get them in shape.. or use conditioning as a tool to improve things like freethrows and turnovers (an issue noted in the article, that he made them run after missed fts) ..we'll see how it plays out

LMAO by that last paragraph it's obvious you are just trolling at this point. Well played.

uc just fired a coach for "cause" for doing common practice things...and having private statements used against him after being spied on for months

questioning if the coach who is literally right after him will have that same kind of treatment is trolling??????

the bearcat shades are definitely strong for you

I mean we have a top 10 football team that is obviously incredibly well conditioned and we literally just hired back the top basketball S&C coach in the country that left under Brannen's watch. I think we'll be ok.

the bottom line is that the AD, who didn't hire brannen, and, I wonder, a very vocal "soccer mom", wanted brannen out. they're clutching at anything that may help make brannen look like a schwantz. at this point, if they thought it would help, the AD would probably try to link brannen to the kennedy assassination. miller will be fine. eason (and his mother) is gone. as long as he plays nice with the AD, miller will be golden.

football and basketball conditioning are different...im sure you are aware of that
and we are questioning if they will be allowed to have freedom to do as he pleases...not his capability.. stating you have a great SC coach doent address if he'll be allowed his freedoms.

that was hilarious btw lol....
but just noting the miller wants to straight bully you on the court, and that is what his system is about... they regularly full court press (sometimes with man, sometimes with zone) and when they arent their lead defense guard often tries to press by himself..
that isnt a system to take it easy on

Context courtesy of Jflight21:

In each of the past two seasons, a graduate transfer couldn't even make it to February.
4 different players opted out this past season.
2 strength coaches left after one year with Brannen and one just returned under a new coach.
An entire freshman class entered the transfer portal and 3 returned once we had a new coach in place.

You are literally the only person questioning if Miller will be able to run practice as he pleases.

how does that help your point...

a passing comment in practice when you dont think you are being monitored is meaningless......
i guarantee you ever single person here has said something wild if they were being spied on unknowingly that can be taken out of context or seen as insensitive ..
also i never said in jest... but likely in frustration

if this was his official response to a press question about the monitors this would be damning... not a private quote, that is jus being rehashed by someone else without any context...

At this point there is nothing Brannen could have done short of saying Etienne was better than Grimes that would change Coach P's mind.

I defended/said we need time/more information to judge Brannen throughout the season. As more information has come out my position has changed. I was never out to get Brannen. At this point it's very clear to me the administration handled this correctly. Really pleased with the job Cunningham did in handling the issues in the basketball program, removing Brannen, conducting an extensive coaching search and hiring Miller.

this story is only circulating in UC circles and isnt a national story.... most of the UC fans for some reason think what was stated in the article was abnormal and excessive (as shown by the folks here)... nor that miller would "never do such a thing"... what is there to question with that perspective
its not about "Pesik questioning" but looking at it that what was accused is common and how will it affect the incoming coach

i actually listen to facts on both sides...

i said with marshall when the accusation were just yelling and being verbally abusive.. i said Marshall would survive this....
when the physical and racial stuff was latter added, i was the first to say "yikes" im not sure he can survive this one...

you have been blindly 1 sided.. almost all the other UC posters at some point or another have acknowledged the possibility of uc potentially be in the wrong but would wait and see or they dont care just ready to move on... no matter what is said UC is slam dunking its strong case to you

any statement from brannen-- its deceitfully lawyer speak , not to be easily believed ... anything by UC-- wow insightful, incredible evidence
