Just boring basketball with average players.

Go Monarchs! A Monarch for Life.

This is a good example. 8 years of no hope for the dance...yet:

2019- went to the dance
2018- borderline at large chance (64th- Kenpom). Very certainly had a good chance
2015- boderlind at large chance (70th- Kenpom). Very certainly had a good chance

The other years we were close to contention for CUSA title. The only years were we really had no chance were the first year 2014 and last year.

My apologies from diverging away from recruiting.

That dude is too tall. We need undersized guys.

Greg Lee looks like he could get some playing time here and would be a good fit. Has one year left as a Grad Transfer. His FG%, rebounds and points have been on a steady rise.

Western Michigan transfer Greg Lee (@Just_Greg_) tells me that he plans on announcing his commitment June 6th.

Lee is down to ECU, Penn State, Old Dominion, Arkansas, Illinois, and Fordham.

13.0 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 2.4 APG for Lee this past year.

Anyone want to place bets whether we land him or not?

No chance we get him.

Regardless of how close or how far away ODU was in the eyes of the NCAA Tournament selection committee over the years, the bottom line is all that matters and ODU has only made it in once since Jeff arrived here. For some fans that apparently is OK. For many others it obviously isn't. Teams don't hang banners in the rafters proclaiming how close they came to making the tournament.

As long as we do not lose him to ECU, I won't complain too much. But I have to think we can offer him playing time and a significant opportunity to be an impact player over a place like Illinois or Arkansas that probably have rosters full of highly regarded players.

6'9" and can walk a straight line...NO CHANCE! Don't even know why we bother

We do it just to piss you off -- and it works!

Sure does.04-cheers

I feel the same way about you sugar coating everything he does or even doesn't do! If this is a LOVE JJ only site then I am definitely out of line. However, it is supposed to be about recruiting which ooses with negativity. Suggestion, why doesn't someone create a "I Love JJ" site so you can all go and talk about what a great man he is, how he runs a clean program and how winning doesn't really matter as long as it's ODU.

Nah, I'm not sugar coating anything. But I'm also not coming on here daily to post "JJ sucks" without much else either. It's so tiring and it's probably why this site is down to a few regular posters now.

What does that have to do with "having no hope of making the tournament?"

I didn't understand what they were saying about ODU not paying for the home field advantage? Can someone explain in lay men's terms. Thanks
