RE: AAA - Gas Hits $4
I paid $5.99 a gallon for regular at the Grand Canyon 2 days ago. And with a nearly empty 36 gallon tank.
Do that math, lol.

I would leave. We are below $3.30/gal on the MS Gulf Coast.

I did leave. Most gas elsewhere out here is around $4.40.
And if I could pick a place to light permanently, it would be the MS and AL Gulf Coast. My favorite place in the whole world.
But I'm old, and most of my relatives are in Memphis. I don't relish the thought of checking out alone, lol.

"But I'm old, and most of my relatives are in Memphis. I don't relish the thought of checking out alone, lol." Triple
We think alike, that's why I have a niece who I text at 9 am, 4:30 pm, and at 9 p.m. every day. I do it because at my age only God knows when I'll be seeing His face and if I didn't have her helping us then if I died suddenly my wife would be all alone and no one would know that and surely she would perish as she is completely dependent on me. I can't even imagine that scenario as it's too ugly and sad.
I also rely A LOT on my SIL who has proven to be a wonderful sister to her unlike her other siblings who don't even remember that she's around. My wife still wants to leave a bit of inheritance to one who got mad at me (for nothing really) and has also abandoned my wife because she's mad at me. I told her let's take her off any inheritance but she doesn't agree. Oh well, half of her estate is hers and she can leave it to whomever she wants. I would rather leave it to my niece who has been an angel in all this but for sure I will leave something for her.

I spent a spring break at Biloxi a few years ago. It was a fun few days. Incredible seafood. Those Royal Red shrimp alone are worth the trip.

Seafood is my jam. So is Biloxi. When my wife passed away in April, I went down there for a week to take my mind off it. ODed on bang bang shrimp and carrot cake at the Scarlet Pearl Casino Hotel.
My next travel trailer trip next spring, with the ultimate target of DC in June for my niece's wedding, will start out in NOLA, then work my way across the Gulf Coast and then up the Atlantic to DC.
NOLA, Biloxi, Flora-Bama, the entire northern Gulf coast, Savannah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach...
Then the road home will include Gettysburg, Cooperstown and Niagara Falls, at a minimum.
Then at some point, the good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I want another shot at the Texas Hill Country.

I can see the Scarlet Pearl from where I am sitting currently. Scarlets is my favorite fine dining spot on the Coast. Can't beat it. You can also order at the Bar, but the experience isn't the same. When you go through Gulf Shores, AL you need to stay at the Pandion Ridge Campground (It's has a corporate name now). It"s across the street from the Wharf.

I'm taking notes, lol. And I would be jealous of your view if I didn't have a pretty cool one myself right now. Antelope Point Marina on Lake Powell in Page AZ.

If you go to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach you have to eat at Big Fish. It is in a strip mall and is where the locals eat. They offer about 10 different types of fish they prepare a couple of different ways. Our #1 spot when we go there. We stay at Pandion Ridge at least 3 times a year.

Texas Hill Country, eh? Spend a few days in Fredericksburg about this time last year. It was great. Wineries and beautiful women everywhere. Probably won't go again until I find myself single again lol.
