RE: Trump's reciprocol tariffs are starting to work in a big way
And Oil Prices are down over 6%. I guess from Trump's Tariffs. Y'all figuring this out yet? By know, because after lunch all of those dirty Billionaires are gonna make their profits for today. If you hate and want to tax Billionaires out of their wealth, then you must love it when the stock market is down 1200pts. Contrary what a fool believes the stock market doesn't negatively affect a 401k unless you are cashing it out today, because in a week or so, your money will be buying the same funds/stocks at a much lower price.

Correct, in some cases they still aren't as much as the tariffs placed on our products. Furthermore leftists who supported Harris have no standing to complain on this as she was proposing higher corporate taxes and taxes on unrealized capital gains both of which would have more inflationary impact than tariffs.

Not these tariffs!

You have to be able to think for yourself and not rely on what you are told. Taxing corporations is going to raise the price of every product including those made here. Raising corporate taxes incentivizes corporations to move to countries with lower corporate taxes. Tariff impacts are going to impact products from overseas with the impact varying depending on that countries tariffs on us. That would incentivize companies to move back here.

No ****, sherlock. But nowhere close to this extent...at least the economists think. The way he's going about this is so chaotic they can't even begin to calculate how bad this will be.

Tariffs can achieve what you're talking about when they're targeted...like we always have done. But blanket nonsense like this all at once, is incredibly stupid and reckless. Not to mention there's WAY more than just material costs factoring into decisions as to why companies diversify into other countries.

It's reciprocal. We've took it in the shorts for decades and now we are returning the favor. Not to mention we've basically provided defense for many of these countries over the years. Short term pain for long term gain.
You're right there are a lot of things democrats love that have increased the cost of making things here. We've covered several just in this thread.

I guess our inflation will go as high as China and India. They have the most tariffs of any countries in the world. Oh, wait.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Like literally none. What was reckless was every single decision that was made in the past four years. The U.S. was on a path to destruction. You act like you know what the conversations are taking place in the WH, how they intend to use these to accomplish a series of different goals, and also reduce some of our debt.

If you think this is reckless and stupid then you also have to think that every other country that has placed not so targeted tariffs on the U.S. for decades is reckless as well. But we know you don't, because a) you don't actually understand this as you like to pretend you do; and b) you're just spewing anti-Trump diarrhea from your face but the truth is you have no f'n clue what you're talking about. The comic relief though is appreciated.

Fools don't realize for every stock sold, someone is buying it. Instead of a 48 hour rule on this, it will be more like a 4.8 hour rule. Profit taking after lunch. Somehow this is tanking oil prices, which will atually lower prices in a month or so. Currently down over 7%. Also, the 10 year treasury is back near 7% which will lower long term intertest/mortgage rates. Funny, the only people affected by a drop in the stock market are those the Left hates anyway.

The funniest part in all of this is that if Harris, Biden, or any democrat were doing this, the right would be losing their collective ****.

People understood the general thrust of Trump’s announcement and there should be no surprise. I do not pretend to be able to predict the movement of the stock market. If I did, I would fully fund Tiger NIL. 03-wink

It was an easy call - pretty much any tech company (Apple for example) who was deeply if not entirely in bed with China etc.... was a short call.

Just as democrats would cheer corporate tax hikes, regulations, and green energy mandates all of which would have more impact.

And those that bought the Newsmax IPO on Monday morning. They made huge money in two days. Wonder why stock markets are around the world are also down. Seems like they would be rising. Guess they realize they will be selling less to the US.

Actually, the right would cheer that, and the Left would treat them....well, like they are now. That's the reason they would NEVER do it. Bad analogy.

Hey numbnuts. Its due to Stellantis' exposure in Mexico and Canada.

They layoffs in the US are temporary until April 21 which gives them time to move their operations stateside from Canada and Mexico.

Go back to sucking Blinken's balls.
