RE: Trump's reciprocol tariffs are starting to work in a big way

Quote:Mother
Tell your children not to walk my way
Tell your children not to hear my words
What they mean
What they say
Mother

Mother
Can you keep them in the dark for life?
Can you hide them from the waiting world?
Oh mother

Father
Gonna take your daughter out tonight
Gonna show her my world
Oh father

Not about to see your light
But if you wanna find hell with me
I can show you what it's like
'til you're bleeding

Not about to see your light
And if you wanna find hell with me
I can show you what it's...

Mother
Tell your children not to hold my hand
Tell your children not to understand
Oh mother

Father
Do you wanna bang heads with me?
Do you wanna feel everything?
Oh father

Not about to see your light
And if you wanna find hell with me
I can show you what it's like
'Til you're bleeding

Not about to see your light
And if you wanna find hell with me
I can show you what it's...

Whoa
Mother, yeah

RE: Trump's reciprocol tariffs are starting to work in a big way
And Israeli farmers rejoice!!! Well.....

Quote:The Israel Farmers’ Federation lambasts the Finance Ministry’s decision to immediately scrap remaining tariffs on US goods, mainly in agriculture, against the backdrop of US President donald trump’s plans to slap trade partners with tit for tat duties.

Amit Yifrach, who chairs the federation and serves as Secretary General of the Moshav Movement, and Uri Dorman, the federation’s secretary general, say in a joint statement, “This is a step that will bring disaster to local agriculture.”

They add, “There is no doubt that trade relations with the US are important and appropriate, but we must ensure that we do not throw the baby out with the bathwater, harming food security and national security.”
Israeli farmers lambast Finance Ministry for scrapping duties on US imports to avoid trump’s tariffs

And meanwhile....

Quote:China, South Korea and Japan agreed Sunday to strengthen free trade in the face of a raft of new tariffs imposed by US President donald trump.

The agreement came at a meeting of top trade officials – the first at that level in five years – days ahead of the start of tariffs on a huge range of US imports, including cars, trucks, and auto parts.

South Korea and Japan are major auto exporters, while China has also been hit hard by the US tariffs.

The meeting was attended by South Korea's industry minister Ahn Duk-geun, his Japanese counterpart Yoji Muto, and China's Wang Wentao.

The three countries called for their negotiations for a comprehensive trilateral free-trade agreement to be speeded up, and agreed to create "a predictable trade and investment environment", a statement said.

Gas jumped from $2.56 to $3.15/gal today. The panic is absolutely insane.

Ours went up a nickel to $2.79. Fifteen cents over the price on inauguration day. No panic here yet.

$3.15 seems a bit out of line.

Tommy I say this with all honesty and conviction

When I started my business in 1991, 98% of everything I sold was American made.

Today 0% of everything I sell is American made.

Trust me I’m not an anomaly. My business is a microcosm of American Industry or lack there of.

I’ve watched American workers and factories shutter while politicians enriched themselves at average worker’s expense. Companies I personally sourced products btw quality products from had to close their doors because politicians allowed cheap garbage to be dumped by the shiploads with little if any tariffs. The same countries have not and never will allow us the same rights.

Go look up tariffs of the countries we trade with. If you cannot see or understand the imbalance you are beyond help.

1929 eating out dumpsters won’t help you

Something has to give before we collapse economically

Do you have any clue how the Russian Ruble collapsed?

A Russian had saved his whole life. Enough money to fill up the bed of a pickup truck and it became worthless overnight .

I believe our politicians have already stolen all the gold in Ft Knox. They have wasted our wealth for kickbacks and bribes.

If Trump or someone else doesn’t do the MOST UNPOPULAR move to save our economy we won’t last to see 2035.

All the cuts to government bureaucrats won’t help if you depend on other nations to produce everything even your fruits and vegetables

Several great economist have already written books about our day of reckoning saying no politician will try to tackle it.

So, we have a one term President who at the very least is making an attempt but if spoiled Americans don’t want the inconvenience now they can pay with absolute misery later.

And, I was always told growing up It’s later than you think.

Not if you have a clue how any of this works.

Refiners are scaling down production of winter blend gasoline and preparing for summer blend which usually begins around May 1st. Summer blend is more expensive. Additionally, the global price of oil increased $2.12 a barrel on Monday and is up $2.44/barrel the last month. This all adds up to the increases you're seeing...or will see shortly. Plus, increased demand for travel as the weather improves.

Or...you could blame trump. 03-zzz

GREAT POST - BUT - Your observations and facts do not matter to Tommy Tubbyville:

- Orange Man Bad
- Climate change will kill us before 2035
- Blue collar work means nothing to intellectuals like tommibois
- He is an expert economist and no other opinion (factual or not) is correct except his.
- If Biden or Barry were doing the exact same things as Trump is right now tommibois would be doing backflips in support because he is Independent.

The media expends considerable energy on the effect of tariffs on America, but little on the effect of the tariffs on other countries. I do not like tariffs except in reducing American dependence in material areas, but when used as a weapon it cuts both ways.

The media makes it appear we are the only ones to suffer. I am especially disappointed with the WSJ.

And, I was always told growing up It’s later than you think.

The basic interrelated facts:
1. We are going broke with crushing public debt.

2. Servicing the debt requires more and more money in interest payments which could be directed more productively elsewhere.

3. The Chinese are eating our lunch. It will not be long before their economic strength allows them to surpass the US military.

4. We have a crisis in productivity due mainly to a poor education system, incentives not to work, regulations not undergoing cost-benefit analysis, and government programs with waste, fraud, abuse, duplication, and little regard for efficiency and effectiveness.

5. Inane trade policies based on conditions 80 years ago.

6. Spending much more on defense than our allies (eg., Canada 1.4% vs USA 3.4% of GDP).

We need bipartisan input and solutions and compromise to address the facts, but too many Dem's have dug in their heels out of pure hatred for Trump and his supporters.

It reads like a cliché, but I really believe when Americans put our minds to do something, almost anything is possible.

These Idiots in the MSM or either grossly ignorant or naive or just spreading a biased intentional false narrative when it comes to other countries and slaves.

Importing has good and bad. I got a shipment from China that was 60% defects with no way to alter the product. We usually can modify or repair their miscues but not this time.

After several back and forth emails the Chinese firm would just ship me a full order replacement even though I hadn’t ask for it at their expense. Absolutely free freight included.

I made the mistake of asking how can you afford to do this.

The response was we have slaves that make the products so we have almost zero labor costs.

Stopped doing business with them that day.

There are more slaves and concubines in the world today than ever before.

Americans and Western Europeans live in a bubble.

I agree with everything about your post until you get to Americans will put their minds to it.

Americans don’t know how much they are going to have to sacrifice because Americans allowed politicians with no morals to go unchecked for decades.

This is very unpopular and tbh why most democracies fail. Fiscal responsibility simply doesn’t exist when you can vote to spend other people’s money ie taxpayers with no consequences for failure l.

It’s like that family relative you loaned an exorbitant amount of money telling you he needs more to fix all that he previously squandered.

Oh joy.

RE: Trump's reciprocol tariffs are starting to work in a big way
When the foreigners stop buying our debt, we are done. It is that simple, and you aren't going to hear that from whom you get your "news". You Lefties don't even know that's how it works.
