Yup. The biggest reason I favor legalization of MJ is that the negatives are less than alcohol or tobacco and the positives (arguably, I suppose it varies by person) much better

Some people smoke packs of cigs per day... If you smoked that much weed, well... you couldn't smoke that much weed.

Exactly. The "contagious" part of smoking is already being regulated.

And I shouldn't have to point out why the "peer pressure" thing is a bad analogy to a communicable disease, but FWIW the government spends a significant amount of time and money on education of the danger of smoking to cut down on it, and it seems to have worked fairly well too. The idea that we "don't do anything" about smoking doesn't really hold water.

Legality wise it's basically a personal choice that doesn't spread to others, very different from a communicable disease.

I never 420 until I know I won't be mobile....and it's nice when I CHOOSE (as opposed to habitual) to participate....I'll be lucky if by 8 bells today finishing up in the field....
