Thomas Mahn, the Louisville Port director, said fake IDs are frequently bought and sold through “dark web” transactions.

“Some of the major concerns as it relates to fraudulent identity documents is identity theft, worksite enforcement, critical infrastructure protection, fraud linked to immigration-related crimes such as human smuggling and human trafficking, and these documents can be used by those individuals associated with terrorism to minimize scrutiny from travel screening measures,” Mahn said.

Sounds like a company that should be criminally prosecuted, meaning noone could do business with them.

The question is how many fake ID's have already been successfully passed out?

Two things need to happen.

1. No mail out ballots. Early voting or absentee ballots with notary are fine.

2. We need to hire more customs people to open every container coming from those nations and if more are found all trade with those countries needs to cease. Yes, even South Korea or the U.K. until they make arrests and prosecute the communist cells operating from their homelands.

The technology exists to make relatively cheap ID cards with photos and thumbprints embedded, and to record that information in a database. So make voter registration cards that way. You vote in person, your photo is matched and your thumb prints are taken to verify that it is you. Again he technology is there now. You vote online, you do a thumbprint scan or maybe facial recognition to identify yourself. Most new computers have the technology. For mail, it's a little harder. There is probably some technology that would let you put a thumbprint somewhere on the ballot, and that could be scanned in to verify that it is a legitimate voter before the ballot is scanned. If you try to vote twice, your thumbprint will give away that you have already voted.

States could pay for this, or feds could provide funding to cover it, so it's free to voters.

Illinois? Illinois is not a swing state. The Democrats will win this state.

I have no problem with the thumbprint or facial recognition to obtain a ballot. I have a problem with putting a thumbprint on the ballot because then you lose the privacy of the voting booth.

I really think that what should happen is for the polls to be open for 3 days but you have to vote in person and spreading out the lines allows the distancing and the other forms of personal identification. Absentee ballots need to be limited t the homebound or hospitalized or nursing home set.

Start the voting on a Friday and finish it at 6 PM on Sunday.

easy no to mail-in w/o notarization....that's a gimme...

the only way multiple day voting possibly works is if ballots are NOT tabulated until polls close (in your example, Sunday)...if voting became a running tally, that would be a fraud disaster in wait...they'd simply start busing them in...hell, it would give the subversive to do such anyway relative to time...

what about down ballot? all of Illinois is not blue. rural Illinois is red.
