For the past 6 years, Wichita State has been ranked higher than any of the other current AAC members on Ken Pomeroy's rankings, and no worse than third best on the RPI. This is a good thing. A rising tide lifts all ships.

36 times? So if Marshall leaves his multiple millions they can afford another quality hire? Then another then another?

Well, looking at several recent hires where named schools threw money and didn't get their man, I think it's easy to say money isn't what it's all about.

So is the MVC gonna let them stay in other sports or are they joining as full non-football members?

In the context of WSU sustaining beyond Gregg people keep saying the Koch money will keep WSU relevant.

Money always talks. If the Koch Bros. are as committed and generous with WS as Fred Smith is with us, then I think they are a good addition.

They are past the point of having to win their conference tournament. They get bids whether they win or lose. All they have to do is beef up their sked. They will take a few lumps in the AAC. But they should do well in the AAC, at least for next year.

Most of the MVC isn't very good and the travel is pretty easy.

Hopefully, the AAC will give them two games vs. us, UConn, SMU, and Cinci.

The travel could be something for them to have to get used to.
