Nice article on ODU alum John Wilson.

Awesome to see Vinnie go on a tear this week. Luck seems to have finally shifted his way.
It was a matter of time with vinnie

Well deserved. From one of the unluckiest hitters early on to winning league-wide awards now. Pretty cool how fast it’s coming together.

Not sure what the injury is but hope he has a smooth recovery.

Andy Garriola was 0-4 in his professional debut
Fulgham cut again. Hard to believe he will get many more chances if any.

Looks like Jordan Young survived first round of cuts at Tampa Bay.

I believe Weaver got injured. He might show up on practice squad later on.
I think he was waived with injury designation. They pay him until hes healed. Other teams had the option to pick him up but I don't think anyone did. So, I think he's on IR and wont play this year. They likely want to see how he develops for next year.

They could release him when passes physical though

The settlement covers a certain number of weeks. He can be signed by another team when his injury period is over. He is a free agent.

If waived with injury designation, here is the rule:

After a player is waived/injured, the player and the team have five days to agree to an injury settlement. An injury settlement is designed for a team to pay the player for the time he is expected to miss with the injury. If a settlement is reached, the player becomes a free agent and can sign with another team immediately.

Here is a report from the Chargers:

Defensive lineman Forrest Merrill, who made four tackles in four games as a rookie with the Chargers last season, and undrafted rookie free agent center Isaac Weaver were both waived with injury designations. If they clear waivers Tuesday, they will revert to the team's reserve/injured list.

When a team waives a player with an injury designation, it lets the rest of the league know that this player is currently suffering from an injury. He still goes through the same waiver wire process, allowing another team to potentially claim him. However, if he goes unclaimed, he reverts back to the original team’s Injured Reserved list. From there, the original team can either choose to keep him there or release him outright with an injury settlement.
Right, thats what Im saying. He passed through waivers and reverted to the Chargers IR.
