Ahmad Caver getting some nice pt with the Phoenix Suns summer league team and ODU with a mention or two right now on ESPN.
Vinnie hit a double in the bottom of the 9th today. Game was tied. His pinch runner became the winning run
PJ Higgins hit his first Grand Slam today. Also the first for a former Old Dominion player in MLB.

That was his 4th bomb of the year which gives him the most career home runs of any Monarch in the majors. Thinking PJ or Vinnie get that number a lot higher by the end of the season.

HC Coach RR was at the game.
Vinnie had a good Game 2 today as well (doubleheader)
Walked twice, and went 2 for 3: 2 singles, 1 strikeout swinging.
The hits might finally be coming for him. He's been connecting with a lot of pitches, but they were mostly all fielded. If he's starting to find the gaps, he's in business.
I expect Vinnie to be fine. He's actually walking more than he's striking out. His BABIP (batting average balls in play) is woefully low at .152, which is primarily attributed to luck. Once his BABIP normalizes, his numbers will look a lot better. All of the advanced metrics project him to be an above average hitter.

Watching Yarborough pitch against the Orioles. He looks very sharp out there on the mound.
Vinnie had a 10th inning 2-run homer ... A lead that the Royals proceeded to blow and lose 6 to 5.
RC to Cards, adding to depth:
Just read some weird stuff about Zach Paschal and Stone Smartt. Paschal is out and not practicing due to a "stomach illness." Smart has a "non football related " reason for not practicing so far. Hope both of them get back on the field soon

Smartt posted a pic of him in an air cast on his Instagram stories a couple weeks ago. Didn’t look good.
Pascal was in the hospital.
Pascal with food poisoning. Supposed to have returned yesterday.
Verlander continues to be incredible. Could(should) net another Cy Young
