I saw that. You could tell she just wanted to break that microphone over his head.

I guess that's the way they roll at X and school 6.

NIT 2019

There's no way X makes the NIT. I was listening to Mo yesterday and they were saying after Saturday X is likely to be underdogs in all their remaining games.
Xaiver is going to need a miracle to get to the NIT. They are basically fighting to get out of last place and basically have no shot of finishing in the top six in the Big East. I would be shocked to see them win more than one game in the Big East tournament.

Not only that, didn't the NIT formalize their invitation process when the NCAA took over the tournament? It used to be if you had a big arena and solid attendance you had the golden ticket, almost regardless of record. I seem to remember a protocol was put in place for selection based upon where teams, not selected for the NCAA Tourney, finished in their respective conference standings or tournaments.

My unfamiliarity comes from UC's eight straight NCAA appearances--meaning, I've paid no attention to the NIT.

Anyone who wins their conference regular season title and doesn't make the NCAA tournament automatically qualifies for the NIT. So if there are a lot of upsets in one bid leagues the number of high majors making the NIT can be limited. Also, I believe the first four out, deemed by the selection committee, automatically are the 4 1 seeds in the NIT.

Xavier is probably going to finish under .500. They likely won't be playing in a postseason tournament this season.

Uh, it was pretty much meant to be a slam more than an actual prediction...

You talking to yourself, Def? I can relate......
Eggsaver only has one route to any post season and that is to win the BigLeast Tourney. Not going to happen.

At least I'm always in good company.
If Temple and Ole Miss don’t come back and win today, I don’t believe UC will have a win over an at-large team. That is why beating Houston is very important.

Temple down 23 with under 4 to go. Now off the bubble and in the NIT.
