What a deep league with competitive balance!

Memphis beats Temple...

Told ya they were only a 2 bid league!

Amusing...and frustrating, isn't it? We were the beneficiaries of that halo effect in the (authentic) Big East.

The folks over in Bloomington probably feel the Hoosiers played their way back on to the bubble last night @ 5-12 in conference play.

5-12 in the Big 10 and would compete for 3rd place in this conference. I'm not sure your argument is that solid.

Dude, you've been listening to too much John Cougar music out there in Oldenburg.

Take off the red sweater and get with the program. We're not as bad as you think.

We're not bad. We're just not as good as we think. Our record doesn't indicate how we truly are. How long have you been around this program to not know that? Disappointment after disappointment, year-after-year, team-after-team. . . . we've all seen this song and dance before. I felt better playing in the Big East.

I've been going to UC games since they were playing at the Coliseum.

I take each year at a time. Last year or the year before means nothing this year.

Sniff... I smell Hoosier on you. They still think that Kent Benson's going to come running out of the locker room and save the season and can't understand why they lose to Northwestern.

Every year is different. Who knows what will happen.

Still highly likely we get three and maybe even four. Houston is a lock, UC will be if the beat SMU tonight and Memphis over the weekend. UCF is two wins away from should be in status because all four of their remaining games are group 1 level games. Temple needs to win out but the isn't impossible considering they have Tulane at home, UConn on the road, and at home against UCF. Really good chance a bid is on the line in that last game. Also the conference tournament should provide opportunities for someone to pick up quality wins or steal a bid.

i'd rather us beat ucf in a game that would probably launch them into the tourney

He's posted 20 times... You'd be hard pressed to find one that isn't critical of Mick, UC's basketball team or the AAC.

Mick acts like a teenager. He sounds good when things are going well and he he acts like. . . well, . . . you saw the Nevada game last year. I've just come to the conclusion that we're stuck with a guy whom everyone pokes fun at because he has a serious Napoleonic complex. I respect the job he's done building the program. I do not respect the way he acts as a person. He makes it very hard to root for him at times. I like our players but I don't have much faith in Mick when it counts.

Also, who in here WANTS to be in the AAC? No one. What exactly has this conference proven? Show me some type of respectable run in the tournament and maybe I'll start showing more respect for the conference.

And the trend continues.

Nobody here wants to be in the AAC that doesn't mean every post has to be trashing the Mick, the Bearcat program and the conference.

AAC is what it is...It's CUSA/Great Midwest. It's a solid league that isn't at the level of the big boys and doesn't have big boy resources. There are good teams and the league is deep with top 100 type teams this year, which makes nearly every game (particularly road games) a challenge.

We get it...you hate Mick and the current Bearcat program. You don't have to slam that point home every post.

Uh...I don't like the AAC either, but UConn won it all in the first year of the conference.
I've never understood the point of rooting for a team if you can't even enjoy when they win.
24-4 (13-2)

Caught the last 8 minutes or so of the UConn/WSU game. What a great finish to a great game with a drive the length of the court buzzer beater shot for the Shockers win 65-63.

Ex goes to St. John's and comes out with a win.

Xavier (16-13) 84
St. John's (20-9) 73
Can Xavier play their way onto the bubble still?

Maybe. I'll say this, they've won 5 in a row including that home win over Nova. Steele has opened up some smelling salts...

Xavier might be top 75 tomorrow which is good enough for the NIT. They still need to win out and go deep at MSG to get on the bubble.
I think X just needed to get their feet back under them with Steele. He’ll have them back at the top of the NBE by 2021. I think they’re solidly in contention for the NIT. They could still make a run in MSG.
#25 Washington lost to 5-22 California last night.

But tournament teams don't ever struggle against non tournament teams.

Is the PAC-12 now a one bid league now. That loss is worse than UC’s lose to ECU. The timing of it is a killer. It should help UCF move into the top 30 today.

Nothing says tough guy like Micky Rooney.
Aresco should change the slogan to Power 5 instead of Power 6. The Pac 12 is not a power anything other than maybe tv sets in a few markets.
Washington did a really good job scheduling. Their best win right now is against rpi77 SanDiego at home. They have gotten to benefit from winning a ton of games between 75 to 150 RPI teams, and it has helped their computer numbers. They also did not have any bad losses up until last night. They stil look like a NCAA team, but the PAC will only get 2 bids if Washington doesnt win the conference tourney.

Arizona State has the quality wins but took a beatdown from Oregon. I don't see how Washington makes the tournament at this point. They don't have a single win against a team even close to the bubble. If Arizona State wins the conference tournament then they still won't have a win over a tournament team. Look they might slip into the tournament but the resume really isn't there.
