Presumably Musselman wouldn't have to depend on the transfer market if he had access to the UCLA brand. I think that's a great fit.

Remember UCLA is not like the other blue blood jobs. They have to fight for attention in LA. They have 2 NBA teams, one of whom is one of the top franchises in all of sports. They have to have a high profile exciting program, otherwise people move on to other things.

Few has turned it down before but it never hurts to see if his thoughts have changed. But I'd bet against him ever leaving Gonzaga.

I think you have to try for Few. I don't see it working but he's clearly the best coach out west and what he's done at Gonzaga could definitely translate.

I still would take a shot at Marshall too before going to musselman as a solid number 3 choice.
Musselman seems like the perfect fit for UCLA as they play an NBA friendly style.

Also a perfect time to go get him. No guarantee he could ever have Nevada at this level again. Perfect storm of experience and talent.

That said I'd take my shot at Few and Marshall first

And 2 NFL teams that will soon be playing not too far away in a new stadium. Pauley seats around 13,000K and they average around 8,000K in attendance.
I think everyone wants to assume it has to be a true west coast guy. I still think they will also look hsrd at Tony Bennett,.who did coach in the PAC with WashSt. Also, could see them highly interested in Kevin Keats. Dan Hurley would be another interesting choice
mark few will be coaching the spurs in a few years
Curious how you feel about this. Penn State coach suspended one game for this shoving incident on his player. I remember Huggy Bear grabbing dudes by the jersey while he was spittin' in their grills...
6 Nevada 58 (14-1)
New Mexico 85 (8-6)
Ole miss won to get to 11-2. They're top 50 kenpom now too. Could end up being a really big win for uc.

Twenty years ago we didn't have 62 genders.
Twenty years ago we didn't have trigger warnings.
Twenty years ago we didn't have safe spaces.

Twenty years ago tough love from a coach or parent was considered discipline.

Yep. There will be no more Bobby Knights, that's for sure.

Twenty years ago Transgenderism still existed. The difference is that now, more people are willing to understand and sympathize with their plight, and less people look back nostalgically on a period where being gay or transgender wasn't as socially acceptable. Thankfully we've solved all our problems now, and only 40% of transgender individuals attempt suicide in their lifetimes. We can finally go back to b**** about real problems like safe spaces and trigger warnings.

Sorry mods. I hate to get political but I'm kinda tired of so many posters making veiled statements like this on completely unrelated threads.

Sounds like you just got "political."

We give people a lot of leeway around here but he's not the first to be annoyed by the number of political posts that make their way into bearcat topics. Let's not make it a big issue but there is a political forum if you want to use it.
The point about safe spaces, trigger warnings and 62 genders was more a comment on the changed culture and expectations of youth now than 20 years ago rather than meant to be political.

Had the Penn State coach done what he did 20 years ago he wouldn't have received a suspension.

Most of today's youth would not tolerate the verbal berating that coaches used to do — coaches like Hugs, Coach K and Roy Williams have toned down their yelling and no physical confrontations.

After watching the recent 30 for 30 about him, thank goodness there will be no more like him. He's a total POS.

I'm glad you give leeway because it is next to impossible to discuss sports topics in a vacuum. Obviously, there can be lines that get crossed but that is what the "report post" button is for. Don't complain or call someone out in the thread but report the post. I know several Mods in recent times have asked for this process to be followed as well.
Hey, at least Huggy Bear kept one hand in his pocket for subtlety.
