It's hard to concentrate on shooting when you are thinking about your next deflection.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner!04-cheers

Just watching some of these guys on other squads play and they shoot like they've never seen a shot they didn't like. Able to create their own space, elevate over a defender and connect with some consistency. Guys running fives down at the rec can heat up faster than most of our high major D1 guards. It just boggles my mind.

UC starts every game slower than any team I've seen. They sleep through the first 8 minutes of every game.
XU took #9 Auburn to OT last night before losing. New coach or not, sounds like they still have some good players to make the Shootout another tough battle. (as always)

they did it with their best player going 3-19 with 7 turnovers.
#1 recruit in the country just picked Memphis over Kentucky.

I expect the American to be loaded next year. UC and Wichita State should be better based on the experienced earned this year. UConn should be fully back and Memphis will be extremely talented.
Memphis hired Penny and we all laughed.

I don't think anyone doubted he would bring an influx of talent there. The questions are whether or not he can coach. Makes this especially difficult with the inexperience of the players he's going to have.

We'all see.

Penny was his AAU coach for almost a half decade...this is entirely unsurprising. Now the reason why we laughed is also laid out there. If anyone has seen an AAU tournament or even a team play, they should know why an AAU "coach" is so hilarious. This may be an individual talent trumping an unproven coach's problems, but I'm still unsure.

Wait, did anyone tell him you can't come to the AAC if you're that highly recruited?

Watching X play they have multiple guys who can hit outside shots not going to be an easy win!!!

Most high level division 1 programs not named Cincinnati have multiple guys who can hit outside shots.

Very Very TRUE

Don't think anyone was expecting an easy win but it's easy to watch a part of a game where a team gets hot and say 'damn this team can shoot". It's too early to draw big conclusions but xavier was 184 in three point percentage coming into the game. Maybe they are a really good three point shooting team with a cold start. Maybe they are pretty average like the early numbers suggest. Hard to say right now.
I am not watching but checked the Eggs score earlier and they were leading 29-13. The game is now tied at 47.

pretty sure they are not a good 3 point shooting team and only have 1 shooter. Welage will likely shoot a decent percent from 3 on the season. He's the only one.
Looking more beatable in the 2nd half, can't root for X ever but do we want them to win so hopefully we beat them and it helps the resume!!!

I’ve given up on that line of thinking. It’s 1 game of 30. I’d prefer X lose every game.

Well they lost again.
