etc. (keeping in mind that plenty of Ivy League schools have had name evolutionn)...

Then ULL can call itself whatever it wants.

Anything else is basically racist: "regular white people can rename their schools, but not those Cajuns."

It doesn't work that way, and it doesn't matter what that joke of a state legislature thinks, any more than its Jim Crow laws still count.

Nothing more really needs to be said.

LOL at playing the race card on this. ULL fans amaze me.

He is not a Louisiana fan.

BamaCajun- I have to respectfully disagree with you. Lets look at the evidence-

1) Fact One- The poster insists on discussing UL-Lafayette on boards and threads not related to Lafayette or the Sun Belt.

2) Fact Two- The only thing his post is about is how unfair it is that people, including the State Legislature, do not refer to ULL as The University of Louisiana.

3) Fact Three- The post has misspellings, is rambling, contains unnecessary quotation marks and is otherwise not grammatically correct.

4) Fact Four- The post concludes by insulting everyone else reading the post who may have a differing opinion ("nothing more really needs to be said").

5) Fact Five- His profile, created in 2009, states that he is a fan of USM and UL (which is the name some UL-Lafayette fans use for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette).

All of the facts seem to point to an inescapable conclusion that he is, in fact, a UL-Lafayette fan.
