It doesn't work that way, and it doesn't matter what that joke of a state legislature thinks, any more than its Jim Crow laws still count.
Nothing more really needs to be said.
Oh come on. Cajun isn't a race. It refers to french-speaking people who emigrated from, where, Canada?
Today it's simply a culture. Most of the people in Lafayette aren't of cajun descent anyway. Lafayette was a sleepy town of 30,000 when it was mostly people of cajun descent.

I decend from the Acadian and Creole people. We are not a race. WE are a culture, an ethnic group but not a race.

Hilltooppers can't count? CUSA already has 4 good schools from Texas. A GOOD, high quality, 5th school from Texas (Texas State) won't hurt.
I don't know if we have too many Texas schools or not. Frankly, I don't care.
What I do care about, just as much as football, is basketball. We already have enough schools in this conference that don't.
I don't know what's worse: Texas State basketball, or the fact that we have members that care little enough about the sport to advocate for adding Texas State basketball.

BamaCajun- I have to respectfully disagree with you. Lets look at the evidence-
1) Fact One- The poster insists on discussing UL-Lafayette on boards and threads not related to Lafayette or the Sun Belt.
2) Fact Two- The only thing his post is about is how unfair it is that people, including the State Legislature, do not refer to ULL as The University of Louisiana.
3) Fact Three- The post has misspellings, is rambling, contains unnecessary quotation marks and is otherwise not grammatically correct.
4) Fact Four- The post concludes by insulting everyone else reading the post who may have a differing opinion ("nothing more really needs to be said").
5) Fact Five- His profile, created in 2009, states that he is a fan of USM and UL (which is the name some UL-Lafayette fans use for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette).
All of the facts seem to point to an inescapable conclusion that he is, in fact, a UL-Lafayette fan.

Are you serious? "Evolutionn". "It doesn't work that way, and it doesn't matter what that joke of a state legislature thinks, any more than its Jim Crow laws still count."
Look, I should not have noted the spelling grammar errors- many people (including me) make them when we are writing quick posts. I apologize for mentioning them.
However, the overall tone of your post was spot on for a UL-Lafayette fan on any board not related to ULL or the SBC. That was the point I was trying to make.
