Back to the topic. I don't any of us know if what was said in the interview has any legs at all but I do know each school discussed could merit an invite. With 14 I am not sure how important markets are this point because the Big East is pretty much in every major market already. I think we are looking at value for the tv deal, travel partners for either our eastern or western schools, impact on bowl games, and basketball.
ECU could very well be the next Virginia Tech or WVU. Air Force could be a solid addition to bridge the western school and provide Navy a conference rival. BYU is the best football school still out there in terms of history and tradition. All three would be good choices. Heck even UMass, Marshall, and Fresno State have cases that could be made.
I am really think there a lot of good choices out there for the Big East, maybe not a lot of home runs but solid schools that would bring something to table.

Even reading your post it is pretty obvious that #14 needs to be BYU. But if they go to 16 or for whatever reason Navy ends up not coming there really is not a wrong or right choice because everyone is pretty equal. It is all a matter of what they would be looking for at that time. Obviously with Navy Air Force makes more since. ECU makes since for Louisville and Cincinnati. Boise and SDSU would like Fresno.
It is like throwing a dart on the dart board.

You're not ready!!!!! LOL
He means basketball. And STFU 1-0 vs Boise State.
Ahh. I hurt your feelings. Yes. The day you beat us was obviously an important one for you guys. For Boise State, It was a Thursday. Congrats. Shows how far Boise has risen since you Pirates dwell on a game that happened ages ago.
Funny enough- You don't see Appalachian State bringing the Michigan game up every day of their lives. I guess they passed you up in relevance and no longer look at their history for something positive.
I just talked to a Northern Arizona fan and mentioned to him that they have beat Boise State before. He did not give a **** either....LOL
Nice sig by the way....
Actually they do and still sell the hell out of T-shirts with the score on the back and saying bet you know where Boone is now. My sister is a So at App. St. and she has told me that's about all she hears is beating Michigan and how they can't wait to go back next year. Though something tells me the result will be much different this time.
I think most nBE fans agree that if BYU comes, that's the choice. After that, it's pretty much a crap shoot. They are all about the same. I'd be okay with any one of the usual suspects.

True --- but trolls can smell out a passionate fan base across boards. Like green bottle flies to fresh s#!t. First there's one then there's 40.
ECU fans need to crawl back under that rock. You will never be in the Big East or any other major conference because you don't deserve it. There are at least five other CUSA teams who deserve it more and they're not getting in either.

We saw that deserving football program in person on Saturday. Quite the powerhouse.

Enjoy languishing in C-DOA. I'm sure the national media will be thrilled to televise those epic matchups with UTSA and Louisiana Tech.

No, but our games against VT, UNC, NCSU, BYU, South Carolina, and WVU they will.
BTW, here is our OOC for 2016, @SC, @VT, NCSU, and WVU as of right now. There could be a game moved and UNC would fill the WVU game. Oh, those darn facts again.

Boring......
We'll be playing Missouri, @Kansas, Miami, and Ole Miss and that's not counting our Big East schedule.
And our games will be on a channel that's easy to find and not buried in the triple digits in the bowels of cable hell.
guess which one is the big east and guess which one is ecu
PLUS
ecu doesnt want in
the big east sucks according to ecu
they dont need the big east
they never really wanted to join in the first place
cusa will pass the big east in a few years
odu is much better than teams leaving
etc, etc
