I must say, I used to be excited mostly for the passing game, but I'm REALLY excited to watch these backs carry the ball each week now. The way the run the rock...wow. I'm beyond impressed at this point, I'm extremely proud. Between Johnson, Lawry, and Boyd, I wouldn't be shocked to see us put up 300 running yards this weekend. Let Taylor work out some of the kinks, but if we can keep him from being hit by handing the ball to our horses 10 times apiece, do it.

If it means keeping Heinicke healthy, run run run. If all goes well, I think our offensive output will be 250+ yards passing, 250+ yards rushing at least.
I'm thinking ODU will run enough this week to keep the Eagles honest, but I see TH and his receivers using this week to really work on the timing of their routes. I would be surprised if there aren't many TD's via air this week.
I think we have 600 or so yards of offense with TH passing for 350 to 400 and four TDs. This will be a real breakout game for the offense, and the defense is also in for a very good day. We will stagger out of S. B. Ballard in a stupor, drunk on ODU football -- and maybe a few other things.
I know I'm being Capt. Obvious, but weather may play a part in game. Right now calling for 80% chance rain. Having a ground game could be very important in poor weather.

63% at 6:00, 25% at 8:00. Hopefully the system moves fast.

Perhaps, but I'm taking my 5 year old to his first game and we also have lot/tailgate passes. Comfortable conditions are preferable for the experience.
Old Dominion who has won just 1 FBS game, Vegas has us as a 19 point favorite. That's more points than any other G5 school is giving up, except for Marshall at -20
Very seldom do I make overly bold statements, but this is one of those times. I fully expecet ODU not only to win this game but to do it in a blowout. This game will not be close as the Monarchs cover the spread plus some.
We are going to win big. In our effort to keep getting as many players as possible game experience, EMU may close the margin a little at the end but we still win by a big margin. AND as I said earlier in another thread, after tomrrow night's game we will be the only FBS school in the nation who has NEVER LOST a home FBS game. Take that Notre Dame, Alabama, USC, etc.
